I have a question about the married couple in the pilot. When they were having sex and a bunch of people where there. What was the point of that entirely? Was it to make sure the bride was a virgin?

I'm just asking because I'm sure it will pop up again regarding Francis & Mary wedding night.

Of course, this is a CW show, and they do love their triangles/squares, and whatever other shapes they can think of. But as of right now, the triangle doesn't bother me to much.

I originally thought that when I was watching the Pilot. I love Bash but I hate how I thought he was mainly being made prop to a triangle. Torrance deserved better. But last episode brought more intrigue to his character, and I'm hoping his storyline in the entire series won't be just about being a kicked puppy dog for Mary. Torrance is excellent at playing shady characters, so I hope they play to that strength.

I think it's mostly to confirm the consummation of the marriage. Apparently, it was tradition at the time. I'm always reminded that it's one of the few historically accurate things about the series, haha.

Well I suppose that is a good sign considering I think she is supposed to be a virgin on her wedding night. Considering the Queen's actions in the pilot.

As for the kissing scene. It kind of looks like they went on a picnic.
