I hate how disrespectful the writers have been with SE and their fans. It's like they erased the history between them and made it as though it was always DE. No it wasn't DE. DE wasn't even on Elena's radar, until she was practically joint at the hip with Damon. Damon came after..I think I'm ok with knowing that Elena will always love Stefan. He's a part of her soul, her soulmate.
