Eric & Tami Taylor [FNL] #1: "No matter where you go, no matter what you do, I'm always gonna be behind you. Always and always and always."
On FNL, Britton and Kyle Chandler, who portrayed her husband, Coach Eric Taylor, created what may be both the best and the most realistic marriage ever seen on TV. Tami and Eric were a team, and so, professionally, were Britton and Chandler. “Kyle and I shared the same point of view on how we wanted that marriage portrayed,” says Britton. “We said early on, ‘Don’t even try to write one of us having an affair because we’re not going to do it. We want to portray what most people who live in small towns do: They get together, live together, have good days and bad days. They make it work.’ ” theshippers; theprevious threads; __________________

^added! welcome!
I could not find a thread for these two anywhere! which is a tragedy considering they were revolutionary for television. __________________

• The most obvious is of course the scene she tells him she's pregnant which was perfect. • When they are waiting for Julie to come home and she tells him they have the same amount of experience parenting and she wants Julie to be able to talk to her no matter what. This is mostly a Tami monologue but I love it. • The scene in the field with the cows. • When they are in bed talking and she tells him she couldn't leave Gracie at daycare, she thanks him for understanding and he tells her something like "I have my moments". ... and a million others. Often my favorites are not especially the most meaningful story-wise, but the ones that feel the most real. PS: You should advertise for this thread in the Nashville forum. |

Thanks for the add!
I think my favourite is also the one where she tells him she's pregnant. I just love his reaction! __________________

My favorite is when she tells him she's pregnant. He's just so over the moon too and it's so sweet.
I loved when they decide to fool around after Gracie was born and they practically run over each other to get to the bedroom. |

Please add me!
They were, by far, my favorite couple on FNL (besides Tim & Lyla)! I love what the OP says! They really have, even to this date, been the most realistic couple I have ever watched on TV. |
