Oh yeah. I ship both EK and EE. I haven't decided yet because they haven't taking it in either direction yet. Both pairings have crazy chemistry - hey, it's still Nina - but they give a different feeling.

I adore EK for it potential as I don't see much for EE in the present. There is just no way that they will write for EE so the best I can hope is friendship. On the other hand, I loved the 1492 scene between EK and I'm just dying to know what has happened between. I'm absolutely certain that they have retconned their history after they decided Elijah was too awesome to kill off so I want an explanation for the tomb scene ASAP!

AND the "Katerina! I know you're near. I can smell your blood." scene! Elijah seems be incredibly pissed off at Katherine. It could be because the writers didnt know that 2x19 would happen, but now they absolutely have to explain what happened! Especially since they were jumping straight from "If I catch you the game would be over!" and "She is human, her life means nothing."/"I beg you to consider it."

It has to be more than that. What it looks like now is "I'm going to hold a grudge against you because you ran for your life and now my bro hates me. WAH!" He's not that shallow. It has to be something else.

This. Elijah is too reasonable. Obviously a lot more went down back then than we saw in either Katerina or Klaus.

^Definitely. And I think they will address in S3.

Prior to the episode "Klaus", they clearly portrayed Elijah and Kat's relationship as antagonistic - but showed a complete 180 in "Klaus". I think they did it for a reason and we'll see it explained in S3. Furthermore, Elijah's feelings for Katherine are sort of clear - as in he liked her a lot in the past and not so much (on the surface anyway) in the present. What we need explained is how he went from like to hatred. But, we haven't seen anything from Katherine's POV. Was she just playing him back in the days? Or did she genuinely like him?

In regards to the current convo...Daniel knew from the beginning about the deeper connection, but not sure any of the writers did
He gives us little hints here and there...it's EXTREMELY subtle...but Elijah doesn't hate Kat as much as it appears he does

Thanks! I don't really understand Elijah antagonism towards Katherine because back when she was human, she didnt do anything wrong other than running for her life (is it so wrong for a 17-year-old girl to not want to die?).

I'm not even sure whether she turned herself into a vampire on purpose (although she does say that she did because she couldnt outrun him as a human). I believe that she may have fully intended to commit suicide, in order to find some form of peace as opposed to being recaptured by Klaus, and didnt know that if she died with vampire blood she would turn. Another proof of this would be her earlier attempt (stabbing herself), and also, who would have told her how one becomes a vampire?

There has to be something between "If I catch you the game would be over" and "I can smell your blood. It's pointless to run." Seeing Daniel Gillies' split second appearance in the gag reel (I dont know if it's even him), it seems like Elijah was in the same clothes he had when he was chasing Katherine, but he was inside a house (Rose's hut or Katherine's Bulgarian home?) and then he flubbed a line. That just screams deleted scene to me and I really hope they'll show it in the S2 DVD.
