Looks like someone's been eating In 'n Out burgers & working out....he's gotten some muscles back!! A little time off has done that body good. Me likey

SoxFan - thanks for the tweets. So Shannon is headed back to Vegas. Let's hope that Derek makes time for a visit. It's time to quit being so elusive.

We're patient shippers but it's time to satisfy our D/S craving.

It's lake-time today so I won't be around until this evening. Here's hoping for a peaceful, positive thread as it usually is.

I didn't say anything about the BHB? post yesterday and want to go on the record saying the tone and the calling out of a poster was completely inappropriate. But there's something else that's bothering me this morning, and it's related. On Derek's myspace, the latest post under the Bora Bora/Paris Hilton pic is telling Derek he should replace that with a picture of Shannon. I hate to see comments like this that are telling Derek/or Shannon what to do. I know it was in a Bora Bora album, and we know they were there together, but if that was my myspace, I'd do the opposite, just for spite. With the exception of the DWTS pic, Derek has never posted a pic of Shannon there. He has a career to promote and I'm getting more and more annoyed when I see the numerous Shannon references on his myspace and Twitter, especially when he doesn't mention her, as well as the S/D icons. Someone on Twitter actually told him he should marry her. I hope he's gone back to not reading his tweets. I have to wonder if he gets irritated with the Shannon comments and would like to see more about his own talent and plans. It has to be annoying for Shannon too, but at least she has the poker crowd paying attention to her, and she seems to be more willing to cater to the fans. So that's my Sunday morning soapbox. It's not meant to be a smack down, but I ihad to get it off my chest.

Here's hoping Shannon has a safe trip back to LV.

ETA: Just looking at Shanon's tweets from the airport. She is so nice about answering her tweets. I heart her.

CPI think some people are concerned that his my space has been hacked into especially when we see a pic of Paris in place of the one he posted of the place they were staying. That pic only welcomes comments about Shannon as most people are aware S/D were there together. Now people think he's dating Paris which is kind of funny.

Edit Yes Shannon is so sweet to her fans. Here she is waiting for her flight & she's answering their comments. Very classy lady!

That's just it, and it's why I have a hard time posting anywhere anymore. I seem to see things differently from many people. To me, that pic screams prank, and I think it was either done by Sam and Harry, or by Derek with them watching. I just laughed and never thought anything more about it. If the guys did it, and if he ever catches it, I'm sure he'll fix it, but I have a hard time seeing how people would think he was dating her, and why it would matter. To me, it's just funny... until I read some of the comments.

CP Unfortunately these types of things ie Paris pic welcomes comments. The original picture of the place S/D were staying the one D posted would have welcomed completely different comments. As for twitter I think if a question is asked of either Shannon or Derek it should be couched in a discreet way or about their careers. For us I'm glad Derek choose to answer the tweet about Shannon that they were still going strong but I never would have had the nerve to ask. I still think it was extraordinary of him to answer. Never has answered anyone that I'm aware of. I have a love/hate relationship with twitter and I am somewhat concerned for celebs or anyone for that matter posting exactly where they are in real time.

CP, I hear what you're saying and I never thought much about the Shannon comments or the icons being used. But there are always going to be fanatic fans that try to run celeb's lives and you just have to ignore those types of comments. Those types of fans come with the territory and I'm sure S has learned to deal with the comments and will help D learn to too, if he hasn't already. But neither one, especially Shannon, is hiding their relationship.....she has pics of them all over her myspace, D has another pic from their TV guide shoot in his album, and he did tweet that pic of Shannon, Julianne and Chuck from Chateau Marmont, as well as one of the poker game at home (Shannon's in the pic). Derek has the BHB myspace to promote his music career, but myspace is a social network, so to expect to promote only your career through it is expecting a bit much. He should create his own website for that, but frankly, I don't think he has the time or the interest.

ITA soxfan, about the love/hate relationship with Twitter. People need to be careful.

As for Derek and that personal tweet about Shannon, I think he realized how the paps/media can twist situations to sell more mags, so he felt compelled to respond which was very generous of him and now he will become more media savvy because of it.
