Because they hugged the very first time they met. Because he's determined to have her be one of the beautiful girls who could go all the way. Because he met her dogs right away and we all know, she loves her dogs. Because they wasted no time high-fiving each other. Because they get along so well. Because she wasted no time letting him know she was a tomboy. Because whenever she's too hard on herself, he always jokingly says he's gonna slap her. Because she's constantly worrying about letting him down. Because she wants to go out there doing everything he's taught her, just for him. Because he lets her know it won't always be perfect and that's okay. Because he tries taking all the pressure off and tells her it's just about having fun. Because he tells her she's gonna be great. Because they are becoming the best of friends. Because they admire and respect each other. Because she's been having a blast with him. Because she feels she has the best partner she could've had with him. Because she doesn't regret any of it. Because they clicked right off the bat. Because she said he has a great personality. Because he's sarcastic just like her. Because they genuinely get along so well. Because he was really excited when he found out she was going to be his partner. Because he said besides her obvious beauty, she's funny. Because she's a dork just like him. Because he said they're just a pair of dorks. Because it's brilliant. Because they've had a lot of fun. Because he feels once she gets the hang of the dance, she'll just be a tiger. Because they have the whole 'beauty/geek' love going on. Because her long legs wrap around him so perfectly! Because he lets her push and pull him around the dance floor. Because Len Goodman thought their first dance was a great way to start the new season. Because when she thought she could've done better on her first dance because she felt like she'd messed up a lot, he let her know just how professional she was. Because he didn't notice any of her mistakes. Because he thought she did great. Because he created the 'Derek and Shannon' rap. Because when she called him a dork, he agreed with her. Because it never ceases to amaze him just how hard on herself she is. Because when she let Len know she'd keep the skirt's short and straigthen her legs, Derek gave the cutest face plus a thumbs up. Because he lets her know she never let him down. Because he helped her with her cardio. Because they're always smiling when they're together. Because Carrie Ann lInaba oves to watch them, 'cause they're never boring. Because he teaches her the best choreography, even the judges admit it. Because she likes to cling onto him. Because Len thought their Quickstep was the best dance of the night so far. Because she felt amazing after their Quickstep. Because they work really hard together. Because she said he was a great teacher and choreographer. Because they just go out there and have fun together. Because Samantha Harris said it looked like they were in fact having fun out there and that it was infectious in the back as well. Because he's always trying to convince her, she's amazing just as she is. Because he said she proved she was a ballroom dancer, all the way. Because he calls her 'baby.' Because they goof around together. Because she went 'ohhh' when he fell out of his chair, out of concern for him. Because the second time he sang the 'Derek and Shannon' rap she joined in. Because when he asked for a beat she gave him one. Because he's so phat. Because she laughs with him, not at him. Because she likes his geeky charm. Because she wanted to stay and have fun. Because her dog Minnie is their mascot. Because she thinks this guy Derek Hough can be really cool. Because during the first elimination round they were the first ones called finding out they were safe to go onto the next round. Because when she equated the Jive with kickboxing, he made it easier for her to learn, but having her practice with a punching-pag. Because she knocked him around the ring a little bit and liked it. Because when she needed to sit down to catch her breath after their Jive, he sat right down on the floor with her. Because they layed back on the floor together. Because even though their Jive was the hardest dance he'd taught her at that point and she was terrified, she just went out there and had fun. Because he likes being beaten around a little bit by her. Because he said being kicked in the face by her was okay. Because they're having a blast! Because she doesn't want to leave his little face. Because hopefully as she gets better, it'll feel easier and sink in, he agreed hopefully. Because the nerves might go away a little bit, he agreed possibly. Because she let him know she totally threw up in her mouth a little and he let her know that was gross, really gross. (lol) Because he believes she deserves to have her confidence boosted. Because he's excited to stay in the competition with her. Because he said she's gonna get better and better each week. Because he said the confidence that came with their Jive better have boosted her confidence. Because they joked around about her being the one to injury his neck due to her kickboxing. Because she tried to go to the hospital with him after he got injured, even though they didn't let her. Because he asked her to just make sure his fly was up as he was being rolled away on the gurney. (lol) Because when he got injured and was being carried away on the gurney, she was right by his side. Because when he reached out for her hand, she held it. Because she kissed him sweetly on the cheek. Because as he was being lifted into the ambulance, she watched with tears in her eyes. Because it was really scary for her to see him hurt. Because they're partners. Because they've become really close. Because she was really concerned that he might not be okay. Because when she walked into the studio and saw him after his injury, the first thing she asked him was if he was okay and how he was doing. Because he thought it was frustrating how he'd choreographed their dance, but had to sit out due to recovery. Because it was hard to keep him in his chair and not dance with her. Because when they started rehearsing and he seemed hurt, she immediately asked him how he was. Because it was hard for her to concetrate on the dance because she didn't think he was following doctor's orders. Because she was more concerned about him being okay, than their Waltz. Because she thought he should sit down for a bit and when he protested, she made sure he did anyways. Because she looked out for him. Because even though he was still in pain, he was concerned about letting her down. Because she didn't want him to hurt himself all over again. Because their Waltz was the most romantic dance ever! Because he's her gentleman and she's his goddess. Because they have such chemistry and passion in their dances. Because Bruno Tonioli told her how she became more than just the 'hot babe' during her Waltz, but was elegant. Because Bruno said their Waltz was like two young lovers meeting each other on the scented meadow. Because Bruno said their Walz was like spring. Because Carrie Ann noticed something was definitely happening between them. Because after she got her compliment from Carrie Ann, he whispered 'good job, baby' in her ear. Because Len (keeping things short and sweet), said their Waltz was the best dance he'd seen that night. Because even after all the amazing comments by the judges, she still wished she could have done her Waltz again having jokingly threating to slap her again. Because he thinks she's amazing. Because he couldn't be any happier. Because he was really, really happy the night of their Waltz. Because when asked about what it was like working with a different partner, she said he was amazing, but when Derek playfully looked offended, she pulled him in for a hug and let us know she would never get rid of her boy. Because the night of their Waltz they finally got their first score of 10 (and two 9s). Because they scored the first 10 from Len of the season. Because they are so cute doing their rap. Because she massaged his neck for him. Because she worked as his massage therapist-dance partner during his recovery. Because she tries to take care of him how ever she can. Because she makes him eat and massages him. Because it's okay for her to eat anything she wants 'cause he'll just dance it off with her. Because Melanie Brown suggested that Shannon could give him a hot, sexy massage. Because he wouldn't disagree with that hot, sexy massage. Because Samantha told them just how obvious their chemistry was. Because backstage everyone was chanting 'Kiss! Kiss! Kiss' and 'Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!' Because his sister Julianne Hough was the one to start the 'Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!' chant. Because Julianne sees something between them. Because their chemistry was definitely undeniable during their Waltz. Because he said it wasn't hard to get into the romance opposite a beautiful face like hers. Because she said had they gotten the encore dance, they would have kissed. Because everyone wanted them to kiss! Because Samantha noticed even though they hadn't danced, he was covered in Shannon's glitter. Because Tom Bergeron said that was a good observation. Because when they were saved from elimination after their Waltz he went 'yeah, baby.' Because they're constantly hugging each other. Because they're constantly touching each other in the cutest ways. Because when Mel B. asked them if they wanted to kiss each other, Shannon said no because he had cooties. Because he laughed at the 'cooties' comment. Because Mel B. said that was such a school girl answer. Because Mel B. said Shannon was saying 'nooooo', but yes really. Because when he said they had to keep things legit and professional, Mel B. didn't believe them. Because Mel B. sees something between them. Because when she asked him what the Samba was like and he described it, her interpretation of it being a 'party in your pants' made him laugh. Because Mark Ballas said Derek's neck injury was cured by the touch of Shannon. Because his best friend Mark sees something between them. Because they spent three minutes interviewing each other. Because they're constantly flirting with each other. Because when he found out she was his partner he skipped down the road with rainbows and butterflies. Because she knows how he is. Because she didn't think she'd have to get a new partner after he got hurt 'cause she knew he'd do anything to get back out there with her. Because she was telling the truth when she said she'd rather him recover than push himself just because she thought that's what he wanted. Because she'd rather him heal properly and her dance with someone she just couldn't win the same with. Because when he asked her what her good-luck charm was, she responded by telling him it was him. Because he gave her a sweet look and hugged her after that. Because he let her know she gave good answers. Because when he shakes his hips she thinks he looks great. Because he wants her to be good, that's why he pushes her. Because he notices her progression each week. Because he believes she does have what it takes to make it to the end. Because he calls her 'my girl.' Because he said she looked brilliant rehearsing her Samba. Because she feels they have a much tighter friendship since they've been working together for awhile. Because she treated him to more massages, both neck and back. Because he's seen just how caring she can be. Because he's seeing just how close they've become. Because she knows them having chemistry and getting along so well adds to them giving a better performance. Because he calls her 'honey.' Because when she dances with him and looks into his eyes, she's very comfortable with it. Because she knows he's her friend and they have each other's back. Because he said 'good job' and she said 'good boy.' Because they just can't keep their hands off each other. Because their attraction and flirtation is beyond obvious. Because she rode his leg. (lol) Because while sitting on his leg in rehearsal she hugged him. Because when they ended their Samba with her sitting on his leg, he hugged her and she cupped the back of his head while their foreheads touched. Because she joked around with him not being able to take care of himself. Because she's there to take care of him. Because she just can't seem to stop touching him. Because he's always looking adoringly at her. Because they're just so into each other. Because he hangs out in her trailer with her. Because he always plays his guitar for her just to calm her nerves. Because he sings to her; original lyrics as well. Because he helps take her mind of the fact she'll be dancing live in front of millions of people. Because they were caught kissing on the beach after the DWTS cameras had left. Because they put a new dance up just for us fans. So I figured out how to start the thread, but I couldn't get to the last thread because it was closed. #3 was open so I used that one...I will have to add everyone and figure out how to change the pictures to the ones that were in the last opening post.

Hey there! Thanks for the new thread. Looks great! I posted this over on ABC board when I couldn't get on the FF, but did anyone else see a fan video done yesterday of Derek and Kellie Pickler? I must've missed something. Are people wanting them together?? It is called Derek and Riley Hough and at the end they have a baby. Hope Shannon doesn't see this......

TOTALLY!!!! I thought it was kinda weird. Do they even know each other?? Usually you pair a couple up after you see them together for a bit. And these guys were having a baby yet. Turned me off because we all know the only girl for Derek is Shannon
 !!! I just thought it would be weird for Shannon to see that and think "What the hell???" |
