I don't get the hatred for them actually, I think that's a lot to do with the writing. People may have felt the one step forward/two step bac thing the writers seemed to love doing to them was enough. I can understand that to an extent because the writers did screw them up royally. However for me, I can rise above that and just enjoy the beautiful moments they had

Yeah, they will they, wont they arc was used for them way too much, it annoyed the hell out of DJ fans too, so the ones who didnt feel for them to begin with found it easier to hate them.

The writing for them was shoddy at times, but they had great moments,

and they made DC what it was.

It was always about their journey to self-discovery and their feelings for each other.

I know, thats the reaction ive been getting from everyone I know.

Well, I just read the books to see what the fuss was all about, and fell for JB, I never belived I'd like EB anyway, they're just sick.

I cant even recommend the books to you, cuz they arent great, but JB were awesome.

But i might be biased.

Yeah a couple of people told me not to even bother reading the books. Some people say EB are sick, some people say JB are weird. I am really curious about it.

On another note, can I just say how much I laughed when I saw this title

because I can't believe how true it is. It just... Is. DJ is what you remember from DC.

Well EBers are a majority, but the hate against them is intense.

The way I say it, JB are much more real and believable than EB, so much that it threatens teh supposed epicness of EB, and thats why the JB hate. They were awesome,

But i might be biased again.

I wish you'd read the books, but im scared of subjecting you to that torture,

and im afraid of being appalled if you or anyone else actually end up liking EB.

My friend is totally in love with EB! She told me to read the books and I would love them.

I loved EB in Twilight. And then I read New Moon. Out went EB, in came JB.

well, EB is the perfect love, the kind you dream about, with a guy you fanatsize about, when you are young, JB is the real kind of love, the kind you hope to find when you've seen life, loved and lost, with a guy who might not be perfect, but still is everything you'd need.

Nothing gets bigger than DJ for me.

here's my 2 cents (even though it's OT):

EB were "IT", from the moment they saw each other. That was it. Nothing else compared or ever would. And eventually, that idealism of them wanting to be together forever, turned into realism. It actually happened. But it wasn't easy. Of course, there were obstacles, and that's life. But the friendship with Jacob grew at a time Edward was out of the picture. That's the point, his absence made it happen. Otherwise, it wouldn't have. Thus, the romantic aspect definitely wouldn't have. And for me, it almost ruins the series. Why? Because there's no point to it. Once EB are reunited, that's it. Jacob, he's just not gonna get the girl. Not as anything more than a friend. Bella loves Edward more than anyone or anything, so much so that she would give up human life to be with him. Because he's the most important thing to her.

And that's why I love EB. That unconditional, timeless love.
