Dan does it say in a random moment doesnt he, the other person is kinda caught of guard..... but the responese he gets just deflates him esp Blair's

IKR? That's what I was talking about before, it's WHOLLY in character for Dan (and part of that is the writers getting off on his gfs never saying it right back, lol). He did the crushing, pining, falling then ILY blurting first with Serena and Vanessa which is why I was expecting it to happen with Blair. Yay though I believe my OTP babies are flawless and perfect and just unprecedented quality for GG the writers have still had both of them still play true to their normal personality proclivities in the relationship. Dan with the crushing and pining, Blair with her denial, Dan saying ILY because he's like the long-suffering romantic artist, Blair with her manic Blair mode. I wouldn't want them to not be themselves in DAIR---that's the treat, watching them be themselves and figure out as a couple how to incorporate even their flaws into their wonderful relationship.

I'm just sad because I'm not sure if the writers are even gonna go for a db reunion if they break up. There's only two episodes left and db had cute moments but every ep they had issues and will they last talks. And wtf with the gg voiceovers. Bart directed this episode too oh my lol

I think this scene was a hint to what Dan will do and think later on as well and where his pov is at and that ILU at the end and the reaction he got was those 3 words, and will leave to go off to Rome, he will let her go if that is what she wants.... he's not gonna hold her back, and not only that he knows how Blair was with Louis and just being in the relationship for the sake of it

Judging by this, there was a reason why Dan hadnt said those 3 words before, coz he doesnt want put pressure on her, and they are going fine, but since Rufus said she loves you and then the little insecuriy and so on...... Dan casually says it, coz we all know he does love her, has done for a very long time

oh I didn't even remember that DS ILY. Well whatever then, people shouldn't make such a big deal out of last night and claim that Blair doesn't love him. Serena didn't say it back at first ,chuck didn't say it back at first, but they all did later so it could not be more obvious to me that it's coming from Blair.

Blah, last night's episode was very ....eh for me. Blair not saying ILY back is totally fine, I totally get not being ready or it not being the right time. But honestly, the way Blair has been acting for the past couple of episodes - honestly the last couple of seasons - she has no flavor anymore. She is so dry, and she is so bratty, and she is just blah. That is more of what I have a problem with. I miss old Blair. I love my DB forever and forever, no question, but Blair is making it hard. I hope that she finds herself, with the help of Dan And I hope the iLY is returned, sooner rather than later. I know DB will probs break up in the finale, I am dreading it, but I still have faith. Dan loves Blair for who she is - that's the most important thing from this all.

I just saw the DB scenes again, and I must say my problem isn't that Blair didn't say ILY back, it's the lack of impact those words had on her. She was like: ok cool, now let's go have dinner.
You're boyfriend just told you he loved you, react!

But oh well, I still believe that they'll work it out in the end. She'll totes tell him she loves him and then go to Rome with him. lol

I'm sooty but db first I love you should have been important considering everything they've been through from season one to now. It was lacking emotion. Dan was insecure and Blair was all whatevs I'm hungry. Considering db are so alike Dan has always been the romantic and so has Blair so for her to be all :shrugs: was off.
