Their scenes with everyone else is such a blur to me. It's not on purpose, but I really mostly only watched for Dair. I am glad they got a story. Too many of my shows do nothing with the couples I want

agree. Even season 6 had some good Dair moments. Blair seemed jealous when she found out about Serena and Dan

good point. It still amazes me how much buildup Dair had. I was so use to everyone else on the show getting together in a few episodes. They were so organic. My memory isn't great, but I think they started getting close in season 4 while working together if I'm not mistaken. I don't remember what they were doing

I've found that I've gone the opposite way as I've got older, I used to love whole shows more & would accept it as the ships came & went. But I think shows are focused more on ships now, so as soon as yours is screwed over, there's not really that much else to enjoy

& yes, Dan & Blair did start getting close in s4 when there were working together

I am totally the opposite. I will watch shows even after my ships are messed with. I try not to get to attached to ships. I may like a couple, but I try to watch the show as a whole. Even if the ships aren't together, they usually have some type of interaction. All my ships have been messed with at one time or another. I watch daytime soaps too and couples are ruined all the time

I guess it kinda depends on the show, some shows I watch like Lost, Prison Break, Dexter & The Walking Dead, I'll enjoy the ships (really love some of them), but the story is much more important.

Shows like One Tree Hill & Gossip Girl though, generally come down to the ships for me...
