Brucas were on good terms when Lucas left the show. I would have preferred Dair like that when the show ended than what happened

I didn't watch it, but I did follow it through what other people were saying & it really was. It was clear at that point that everyone who was smart in that writers room was smart enough to stop caring & all the worst writers got free reign for all their ridiculous storylines

I could be remembering wrong. I remember in season 5 that Brucas interacted a lot. It was all platonic, but the writers wrote them really sweet scenes were Lucas was there for Brooke when she was taking care of a baby she wanted to adopt. I don't really remember season 6, but I don't remember them in the same place at Dair was. I did like some of the Dair stuff in the first half of season 6. There was still a lot of chemistry there

Brucas got really close again in s5, but come s6 it was all forgotten. It was like the whole fandom was brushed off one Mark made it clear that it was gonna be leyton
 Dair had a couple good scenes in s6, but....considering the writers used those moments to then tear dair apart even more....I don't know what the point of it all was  I enjoy those scenes on their own though, like the stairway scene in 6x05 - if you ignore everything that came before & after it, it's great __________________
