I feel like age group is a factor too. At the time Gossip Girl came out I was 14 and when it ended I was 19. I honestly feel like I was all in with Chair and then as I matured and grew, I realized, wait... this is not what a healthy relationship looks like. Dan and Blair definitely were much more realistic and good for each other. I didn't feel anything was toxic about their relationship except for Chuck and Serena butting in.

I shipped C/B in the beginning but I was crack shipping Dan and Blair from the first episode bc I thought they were the best looking characters lmao

I was about the same age, so I had the same kind of journey. But I hope that more young girls now are aware of toxic & abusive relationships & what they look like....

yeah that’s a good reason (I think Chace is gorgeous too)

the show came out when I was 12 but I didn’t watch it for the first time until I was 21

but yeah that seems to be something that I see people talking about

I guess when you start getting into real relationships yourself, it definitely changes how you see relationships on TV. Having someone hurt you, really doesn't make that relationship any better or stronger

I kinda liked that too, I guess Dan & Blair just can't not circle back to each other & have that special relationship

Although there's no way I can believe that chair & derena are happily married, that's just a desperate move to try & appease those shippers

I get it taking Blair a bit longer to realize her feelings, but it would have been great if it happened. I think Blair went into super denial in that episode
