DB hate is so uncalled for. I just ignore it, and think about how their constant hating doesn't change the fact that DB are going to be lovely this season, whether they like it or not.

i dont necessarily see Pacey/Andie as a prop though. i thought Andie and Dawson alone were used as props, but not necessarily their relationships. Proof would be that the writers of S3 onwards were different from S1-2. P/Jo weren't in the works for the original writer till S4 so I don't believe he had P/A in mind as a prop, I really don't. I definitely thought the S3 writers made Andie and towards the end, Dawson look bad in order to push P/Jo forward more, but they didn't compare their relationship to that of their past ones, which is what I appreciated. still dont like that dawson/andie were made to look bad though.

totally agree with all of you guys about Dan. He is judgmental and i will be the first to admit to the flaw, but other than that, he is amazing. he is selfless, he is caring, he is sweet... goes on and on. he has a huge moral compass and sometimes even breaks it, but never to great extremes. always tame and he always regrets it after. i adore him.

I think the writers destroyed Andie's character by making her cheat on Pacey in order to prop PJ, that's what I consider a prop but I agree, their relationship didn't start off as a prop. And I think her cheating ruined the great PA relationship that was created a season earlier. So in essence, the writers completely torn down a couple in such an OOC kind of way in order to create another couple.

I don't want to see that on GG at all with DB. I wish the writers would let them have a natural relationship. 'Cause I think that would be so fun to watch.

And the DB hate, as much as I can't stand it, I can understand it. Dan isn't just a regular third party, that's going to leave after a couple of episodes. What's going to happen with DB is going to make a huge impact on the future storylines. And I can get why people would not want this and resort to bashing to take out their frustration.
