So do I.
James changed and became a better man, and it was never stated that he did this all for Lily. I would assume that he just grew up. Snape didn't change, he just wanted Lily and did w.e. he could to get her. I doubt anything but her death could have stopped his evil ways, even if she had been with him, he choose power over her. __________________

Because Snape is perfect and can do whatever he pleases apparently.
He had a hard life, that makes it ok. Because being poor and unpopular and then choosing to become a DE, that is soo hard. __________________

What's ridiculous is that, no matter what happened to Snape while he was growing up, none of the kids he's teaching have anything to do with his frustrations or the bullying he might have suffered, so none of that justifies his actions as an adult. He's just ridiculous. Of course what we go through when we're kids/teenagers affect us, how we see things and people and how we deal with them, BUT once you're an adult you can't use your childhood as an excuse to your present actions.
