Yeah, HG definitely could have worked if there had actually been a build up to it. But instead it was random and unbelievable.

I personally don't like when they add things that are not from the book to ANY couple, unless it helps make the SL make sense for a movie. Some things can't be done on film that can be done on paper so they have to add other things for the story. But I haven't seen HBP so I can't comment yet.

I know. Even though I am an RHr fan, I cannot say they were written that perfectly either. She frankly sucked at the romance but HG is the worst. Because she wasted five books with zero development between these two, all of a sudden Ginny came out of nowhere as a perfect hottie who Harry got obsessed with after all the boys wanted. JK's solution to her screw up was to create a mary-sue for Harry to get attracted to. Pretty shallow IMO. The basis of their love is that she was hot?

Well I dont consider it really equal to HG. RHr stuff may have been added sure but there was also a lot of material from the books they could have used. HG was just fabricated throughout and will be fabricated even MORE in movie 7 because they dont have a real storyline in the books, IMO.

The kiss was really awkward, if I remember correctly.

I can't remember much of OOtP at all because I hated it so much.

I know, me too, I remember when I watched it I had just finished book 3 and I had never watched any of the HP movies. But even without reading the 5th book it was obvious to me when a scene had been cut, I don't know how, but I jusy knew it

But even in the books it was stupid, to me, I mean, she was always crying when they kissed always thinking about another guy, it was just awful, imo

I honestly thought Harry was supposed to end up alone. I never saw his romance with Ginny coming. Usually the "hero" in the story never has a happy ending. I mean it goes back to the Han/Leia/Luke thing, Han was the man of romance, and Luke had more important role (face off with Darth Vader). On Lost, Jack never struck me as a very romantic guy (he's really not), because he is the big hero on the show and all the plots are focused on him. The show moves forward based on Jack's decisions, it always has. Thats why I always felt he was a character meant to die at the end; he was never going to have a happy ending. I felt the same way with Harry/Hermoine/Ron; I never saw Harry saving the day and then sailing off into the sunset with a girl...that would really be ridiculous for him to have ended up having it all, lol. I thought it would either end up alone or die, so imagine my surprise when book 6 happened.

I mean WTF why'd JK always emphasize that Harry went through life on his own solo path if he was going to end up with such a cheesy ending? And its pretty disgusting that the basis of his love for Ginny is that she reminds him of the mom he never had.

And I agree with you, to me this happy ending scenario just doesn't fit the "hero" type of character at all

Exactly! I never actively shipped him w/ anyone. Although I thought he would be cute with Luna I just figured that Harry was meant to just save the day and find someone later on.

Same! I shipped him with Luna but I never thought it would amount to anything because I figured it would be left open ended as to who he ended up with later on in life..IF he ended up with anyone. It just seemed as if JK was doing her books a dissatisfication when she catered to the lowest age group with that ending. Instead of having an incredibly ending, she just ended it medicore where Harry ended up with some girl who would keep him in close proximity to Ron/Hermoine while giving him the happy ending many kids cheered for him to have.

I didn't want Harry to end up alone or dead- I'm sick of the tortured hero ending, I find it the most cliched and predictable one of all (PRISON BREAK- ugh, I hate you, PB). But I sure as hell didn't want him to end up with Ginny, lol. He goes through ALL that just to end up with some snooty bitch who is the ultimate "Boy Who Lived" fangirl when he never liked that image in the first place? That's not a reward, that's a curse, lol.

Kevin Jonas/Danielle Deleasa (real life)-can you say..gold digger? he deserves better than some former hair-dresser...and 2 years is not long enough to know someone to marry them...and 21 is way to young for kevin to get engaged..i hope that he wakes up and realizes that before its to late
