It is RIDICULOUS that their making sht up with Harry/Ginny on the movie and cutting out the R/Hr kiss. Im sorry but people will LAUGH their faces BLUE at Dan/Bonnie kissing, its disgusting to imagine. Honestly its not our fault that JK wrote them with no build up, so instead of trying to add to what was never there, they should be working on the translating the REAL canon story onto the movies

I think that for the fans of HP that don't read the books (because a lot just watch the movies) they will be like... where the heck did that come from, when it comes to Harry/Ginny. There was almost nothing in the past films. Especially the recent ones. A glance or two at MOST. And most fans don't pick up on that stuff if they aren't trying to. At this point it seams like Harry jumps from girl to girl each movie (in the later ones). Ginny is not going to come off as this great LOVE. It'll be out of the blue and IMO terrible.

Exactly. It's so unrealistic. Ginny was barely in the other movies because shes barely a big character in the other books. CREDIT to JK and her lack of imagination when designing their "epic" lovestory

Erm, Ron/Hermione don't kiss in HBP so that would hardly be the real canon story then would it ? And they have added stuff to make R/Hr more likeable apparently.

I know! If she were going to put them together from the start, then why didn't we see better development. Even a scene or so in every book that would have given a clue. But it feels like it pops out of nowhere! And not in the cute, true love, sort of way. In the... oh hey, maybe my best friends sister will hook up with me. That'll be fun, sort of way.

Not sure but, I think they might have meant the kiss on the cheek... which was canon. Not sure though.

R/Hr is already likeable to a vast majority of the fandom. I dont see many people jumping at the idea of HG, on the other hand. I am pretty sure the biggest fandom is R/Hr but not even R/Hr fans LOVE HG for the most part.

RHr definitely have the biggest fanbase, so trying to make them more likable would be pointless.

The only thing I remember from OOtP was Ginny bumping into Cho on her way out of the DA meeting, right before the Harry/Cho kiss.

I got a laugh out of that.

I don't know. I just don't see HG as love. I'm not saying that others shouldn't. I personally can not root for a couple that popped up out of the blue as "true love". And I hate feeling like a couple is being forced down my throat. Which is what I felt about HG. All of a sudden I was supposed to feel like Ginny was the most smart, athletic, hot, brave girl in Hogwarts. And she was just perfect for Harry. Oh and she was possessed by Voldy, so she MUST be meant for Harry.

HP to me is like Twilight, I don't see how any couples could be enjoyed. The writer basically sucks at writing romance. Though nothing is worse than Harry/Ginny. Its not that on paper it couldn't work, its just no development and poof out of fin air Ginny turn into this perfect girl and that makes Harry take notice. So darn shallow.

I know that R/Hr has a bg fanbase even if I am not a part of it. So ? I'm just saying that they have been adding stuff for R/Hr as well to make it more romantic etc as well. Sending canaries at each other and bickering is not always considered as romantic to some people.

I agree that some of JKR's romance writing is not great but I do think it's waaaay better than Twilight. Atleast no one dazzles
