Seth & Kate (FDTD) I just really dislike them, I dislike every single thing about them. I don't like what the implication of them being together could do to this show.

Zoey/Luca (Grownish) - How he was ever even a viable love interest I will never understand... and that he was the one she picked by the of the season is still so baffling to me.
His character is defined by most of Zoey's worst qualities amplified by a thousand and I just can't see them being together as a good thing. He doesn't challenge her to be better or reach her potential in any way. And he's too nonchallant and dismissive about everything, including her. In the end he'll never be supportive of her, and that is something she as a character absolutely needs from her partner. Things just come as easy to him as they do her (easier even) and while that is maybe the only thing that pushes her in her relationship with him, IMO it will most likely create a contentious and unhealthy & toxic competitive dynamic between them in the end... we've seen glimpses of that in S1 already anyway... much less prominent, but it's definitely there. And now that they're together I can only see it getting worse. |
