I don't know that I HATE anything on FNL, but Tim/Lyla and Landry/Tyra come the closest (well, there's also Matt/Car-LOW-ta, but that was so stupid it doesn't really warrant a mention). And it's not because I'm a Tim/Tyra fan- I like the actors' chemistry, but I'm fine with them being friends. My only OTPs are Eric/Tami and Matt/Julie. With Tim/Lyla, I find the characters completely incompatible, I'm less than impressed with the idea of a love story blooming out of a sleazy affair that screwed over a nice guy in a wheelchair (and don't even get me started on Lyla's "I MADE ONE MISTAKE" martyr act- no, Lyla. Forgetting Street's birthday would have been a mistake. Tim did not trip and fall into your vagina. This was a deliberate act, and one that you committed numerous times), and I don't think Taylor and Minka make good acting partners. It's not even that they lack chemistry, it's that their ACTING is weird when they're together, especially on Minka's side. Landry/Tyra is irritating because EVERYTHING has to be Tyra's fault, as if in compensation for her being the hot girl while Landry is the geek. Not one problem they ever had was written to be Landry's fault. It was ALL put on Tyra. Tyra's mean to him. Tyra doesn't appreciate him. Poor Landry is the giving tree. Extremely freaking frustrating when Tyra is the character you're more invested in prior to this nightmare of a relationship, as she was with me. It reminded me of Meredith/George, where everything that went down got put on her as if he was not a grown-ass man making his own choices.

The level of total apathy between the Kack pairing hit new lows, and appropriately found them on many, many "Worst Of" lists over the years. And then during their few weeks/months "together" off the Island, we were mercifully spared any detail. They appropriately ignored each other for 2+ years, and after that, we didn't have to endure the Hows and Whys of them getting together. We DEFINITELY didn't have to endure any intimate or sexual scenes between them. Seeing Kack getting horizontal? Having to watch Kate choke on Jack's mass amounts of chest hair? There's not enough brain bleach in the world to scrub that garbage out of heads, and the mere suggestion would surely have caused brain aneurysms worldwide. So we really should be thanking Darlton for that. They may have retconned the series and botched up the entire project in the end, they may have turned their pet project into a universal laughingstock in the end, but at least they didn't torture us with any detailed Kack sex scenes! __________________

Kack represents what it actually is for a couple to be a fail. Young writers should study the history of Kack in universities if they wanna learn how NOT to write romance. __________________
