Untitled by Interpol just came on my spotify and I suddenly got a lot of Joey/Rachel season 9 feelings flooding back.
I loved their build up during season 8. In a lot of ways they were way more suited to one another than Ross/Rachel. But Ross and Rachel were always one of those couples that when they weren't a couple they were. I really wish they would have explored their relationship more. I never enjoyed Joey anymore than the time he realized he had feelings for Rachel. __________________

I think once it hit later in the seasons, Joey and Rachel was more right for each other. In the beginning. Ross and Rachel... so I kind of wish it would have been way more Joey/Rachel, but I'm happy by what we got.

hope you enjoy it!
I obviously agree that J/R were better suited to each other than R/R. The show happened over ten years, the characters changed & nobody could have predicted it, but Joey & Rachel became really close & very compatible - much in the same way that Monica & Chandler did. __________________

Great video!
I do generally prefer Joey's arc where he falls in love with Rachel to when she has feelings for him in season 9. Mostly because I feel like the writers committed to Joey's arc more than Rachel's. It always seemed like it was finite, whereas I bought that Joey falling in love with Rachel in a big way. I liked the moments we got in season 9, but there was something about season 8 that felt more...genuine. I don't know. It always seemed like they'd find a way to bring Ross/Rachel back in the end, and maybe I liked the angst and the tragedy of Joey falling in love only to have it not be returned. As sad as it was. |

Sophie I love the video I'll comment on it sometime this week on Youtube, you just always make great J/R videos.
I also agree with you, the show happened in 10 years. People change, relationships change and that's what I believe happened with Joey & Rachel. |

thanks guys, glad you liked it!
& I think that when the writers made J/R roommates, they didn't realize what a great fit it would be, & when they did, they kind of had to go there imo __________________

Agreed, I think probably the writers did know that J/R fitted well together in the last couple of seasons, but for fan services the end had to be Ross & Rachel.
