Are you talking the upcoming Man of Steel? MOS will be a total and complete reboot not a remake. Unlike Superman Returns which is updated continuation of the universe of Christopher Reeve's Superman , Man of Steel will be a different universe not connected to it-- which I'm very glad. We need a modern take of Superman not enslaved with Chris Reeve's classic version of Superman which sad to say, Brandon Routh's take was on the character.

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the take of Lois Lane in Superman Returns. I know Kate Botsworth tried her best and all, but her Lois Lane lacked fire,gumption and sass that Lois is known for. And her relationship with Clark Kent was non existent and she treated him like an afterthought in the movie. Honestly I blame this all on the director Bryan Singer on his direction of the characters.


Smallville the tv series might have its faults but that show got Clark and Lois relationship right and it seems Man of Steel will too with their Clark/Lois(as far the things I've heard about the new movie.).

Oh well nothing I can do about it. I still liked them regardless of it so I will appreciate the movie and them as it is. I understand that there has to have a modern version of it but like I said ill still appreciate it regardless. but that is just me..

I do agree with the Kate Botsworth version of Lois Lane wasn't the best.... I'm not sure if it's her fault or not. Brandon Routh was awesome as Clark Kent/Superman, he reminded me of Christopher Reeve for some reason.

I think the story was just told all wrong.....

I agree with you though, Tiana. I enjoyed the movie although a lot didn't. I thought the chemistry between Lois & Clark was on point in the movie. I have the movie on DVD and did watch it many times so I enjoyed it... I even got the video game.

Yeah I think they had amazing chemistry in the movie I wish they actually kissed though.

I thought they didn't kiss because they were saving it for the sequel.... it was originally suppose to be one.

That's why a lot of people don't like his version because he was imitating Christoper Reeve. He was stucked on that version of Superman. it's not Brandon's fault but by the director and the storyline that continued the universe of Christopher Reeve's Superman. Brandon was not given an opportunity to give his own take on Superman...


As a Superman fan, that's why I'm rooting so much for Henry Cavill(the new Superman) because at least he will be playing a modern Superman who is more action oriented and that his Clark Kent (not the bumbling disguise of the Daily Planet) will take center stage. More importantly he will not be imitating Christopher Reeve's Superman but his Superman is more of the DC comics version of the graphic novels like the much praised Superman:Birthright. Plus, Cavill's Clark will interact for real with Lois(played by Amy Adams) in MOS and have a friendship unlike Superman Returns which the bumbling version Clark Kent is barely tolerated by Lois Lane. At least in the Superman movies of Christopher Reeve, Lois Lane treated bumbling disguise Clark Kent as a friend even though she swoon over Superman.

Anyway, I sincerely wish for Brandon and Kate's success in their endeavors and wish them well.

Well despite the movies flaws I think they had good chemistry and worked well despite having a questionable script.
