I knoooo me too!!! This is suppose to be Allisons last season and its like way to treat her! At least last season she was the leading lady and Chlark got tons of special/meaningful moments. It was still very clear how important she was to him and that he wouldnt know what to do wtih out her..and now all of a sudden its just like WTF?!

It saddens me too. It's not fair, its like way to hate me make Clois more, by sacrificing Chlark to prop Clois and make them the end all and be all of couples. Whateverrrr! Chlark has been amazing for 8 freaking years and nothing beats them on SV. They have always been the best part of the show to me and their relationship IS the heart of the show...or was I should say since now its like theres no heart on the show at all. Chloe is the best part of this show and the Chlark relationship, I just cant see it going on and doing well, without her.

well, if that was part of the deal maybe they thought they gave her enough of that in season 8 since she signed a two years contract at the end of season 7.

but yeah, giving the official leading lady, at least per episode account and billing, less then five minutes in an episode is just ridiculous.
not that it is surprising since when did allison ever get treated right by this network/show, i think the worst is still when they had the cw upfronts or whatever it was and all of the young cast was present except for allison because the cw said they didn't need her.
it's really no wonder that allison wanted to leave after season 7 and now seems pretty firm on not intending to resign after season 9 if there should be a season 10.
if i was her i would have been done with this show years ago but at the very least after season 7.

I'm not even bitter about the romantic Chlark, we haven't gotten any romantic Chlark in like two season, is the friendship that has me like this. Even with Lana he always had Chloe as her priotity, she was his go to girl, whether it was for info, advice or just the company. They had one of the best friendships I've ever seen on a TV show and it saddens me that they have put it in the backburn to favor a ship.

I think one of the things that makes me angry the most is the fact that they told us that there would be no Lois on Smallville and they lied to us, I didn't sign up to watch The Adventures of Lois and Clark 2.0, I was interested in seeing Claek Kent the boy behind Superman.

Ugh I know Issa same here! I mean its not the romantic thing, I could live without that Ive done it a ton with Chlark as well with other ships..Its the fact that they've cheapened their friendship and deliberately diminished them and made Chlark "move apart" (though we didnt even see this really it was just all of a sudden they arent close but he's really close with Lois) to make Clois closer and her be his go to girl.

It's just...Completely insulting to Chloe fans and Chlark fans and just to the show in general when we've seen this amazing beautiful friendship grow over years and years. We've watched Clark and Chloe make sacrifice after sacrifice for each other, we've watched him being lost without her when she died in an AU world, we watched him fall apart when she went with Davis, we watched her go to the ends of the earth and back for Clark, she would do absolutely anything for them...And now all of a sudden, season 9 they're just not like they were..Its just not our Chlark and it really upsets me that they'd do this..I worried about it but I hoped for the best neways, and now...blah, I hate this show.

yeah, i would be okay with just friendship too since i generally like the friendships on tv shows and in movies better than the romantic relationships anyway, the only down side to that would be of course that there would be no more make-out sessions.

but i guess we could always have an au episode or something like in rush for that.

Chloe made me invested in Smallville. Now that they're kind of steering away from her character and going in a different direction...it's made me lose interest. I already know how the story ends up.

Chloe and Clark had/have a good relationship and friendship. I just hope that they'll be able to find their way back to one another.

I totally agree with you meli5. Chloe has always been the reason I kept watching, but since they decided to take a very different direction, not interested anymore. Still watch Chloe clips and that's it.

It's not the romance aspect that I'm most angry and disappointed about. It's their treatment of their friendship.

Exactly. They've moved the show to somewhere it was never supposed to go, and that's really disappointing. There was no need to have Lois come in at all, and especially not as a regular.

i think what i liked and still do the best about their relationship, apart from the friendship which i always loved, was the in-between, the undefinable aspect of their relationship that was more than just a mere friendship but not a romantic relationship either. i think the chlark relationship at its best was and for me will always be just a relationship of pure love, not any kind of specific love like friendship love, romantic love, parental love or any other kind but just plain and simple love. unconditional, timeless and lasting.
