Their Story;
Riley Matthews and Lucas Friar met on the first day of 7th grade
after Riley fell into his lap on the subway, Riley thought she would never
see him again after their encounter on the subway. To her surprise,
Lucas was a new student at the middle school that Riley attended
and her new classmate. The two of them grew closer, with Lucas finally asking
Riley out on a date. In the 8th grade, Riley and Lucas still
had strong feelings for each other, but found it difficult to date.
They in fact became an 'unofficial thing', because Riley always
wanted Lucas around, and felt like dating could ruin their friendship.
Their relationship wasn't without drama, Riley decided to become
"Lucas' brother", because she figured out that her best friend Maya also had
feelings for Lucas. In all of this, Lucas still had deep feelings for Riley and didn't want
to be her brother. It has been evident since day one that Lucas has liked Riley more than
a friend, stating "It's always been Riley. It's always been Riley since day one."
