I'm not worried. It could get angsty. But that's just how relationships work in tv. CS will go through trials like any other couple on this show. And they'll be stronger for it.

I really think we're being set up to "Emma deserves better, Hook will walk away" scenario. Hook's poster quote is foretelling that at some point, he will stop fighting for what he wants because he thinks that he doesn't deserve Emma but hopefully Emma will fight hard for him because she loves him. I was worried after watching the episode but I've calmed down. I think even Hook doubts his own redemption given the length of time he's lived as a pirate. It's really hard to let go of that. It's going to be a long road though because we're only on episode 4 so they'll have to go through a lot before the happy ending towards this season end. I just have to hang on with what they'll give us. After this episode, I don't really know if there are any spoilers about the couple being still happy or together. I still believe that the story this first half is not CS but SQ. Next week is the start of Emma's and Regina's emotional discussion, Emma's backstory. I HOPE WE STILL GET A KISS. is episode 5 where the spoiler of Hook inside the jail cell on the bed? It will be interesting to see if they will have a make out scene inside the jail because all of their kisses have always been outside (except for past Hook). It's been getting closer and closer though from Neverland to being taken inside somewhere private...1st epi was the Storybrooke forest, then 2nd week it's the streets of Storybrooke, this week it's the hallway. Then, next week, hopefully somewhere private. |

Okay, still trying to form thoughts, but:
- loved how Hook automatically went to monsters and fighting and encouraging Emma when she sought him out. - adorable Emma getting ready scene.  - and the door opening scene. - so much hand holding!!! - that kiss!! He totally went for the hair.  Emma totally didn't want 'coffee'.  - wish we could have seen more of the date. I want real convos!! - LOVED seeing some of that good old Killian smirking/cockiness back in action - She was wearing his jacket at the end of the night!  - They were totally hot for each other. - Emma is totally all in this now. It does feel like a bit of a replay to the Zelena arc though.. - and she does want a piece of that pirate booty. Unfortunately the angst was to be expected.  And I'm not sure that we'll get a lot next week, but I hope for some. - __________________

First half- A++++! I rewatched several scenes over and over.
Emma definitely wanted more than coffee after that kiss. Second half-WTF! I couldn't even enjoy the rest of it because all I kept think of is HOW Hook can get out of this mess.  It IS just like Zelena 2.0.I'd love to think he tells Emma everything soon (nothing he did is even that bad!) but since Hook and Rumple are still working together in 4x09, I'm guessing he doesn't. The only good thing I can think of is that since we are getting lots of angst NOW, maybe it will get cleared up by the mid-finale. Here is something to cheer us all up....   It still works __________________

My biggest hope is that Hook tells Emma in the next episode and she has him continue to work for Gold to keep an eye on him and his plans. I just can't imagine he didn't learn a lesson from the crap he went through with Zelena.
Honestly, any other intimacy scenes we get with them while he's keeping such a huge secret will feel wrong. I mean, I'll still watch them over and over again but still....__________________

I don't know if it's because I watched show early in the morning, but I didn't even think of the parallel to Zelena! Oh no. I agree, I hope he spills the beans soon - I don't mind the angst (I mean I do, but there's nothing I can do about it), but I'd rather if it was a fresh storyline. I loved the getting ready scene, but it felt to me like the roles were suddenly reversed - Charming doubting Killian while Snow is all jittery happy about it? Charming knows K much better, likes him even. Of course he's overprotective of his daughter and what not, but it just felt odd to me. (Sorry if you talked about this earlier, I haven't been on in a week and don't have time to catch up on all I've missed )It'll be a real slap in the face if Emma finally gets her own place when Killian and her are on bad terms... But that's just me being pessimistic. Hopefully. And that brings me to my favorite line of the episode - "do you want to come in and have coffee with my parents, a newborn and a human ice maker?" Anyways, good to be back. (I don't know why it feels like such a long time to me, it's only been a week!) Hopefully now that things calmed down I can flail more often __________________

Well it can't be a secret for long Emma would get suspicious if he spends a ton of time with Gold. I can't see Killain keeping it a secret for more than two episodes
