buffy: well, I figured if your vamp taste buds couldn't really savor it, then it would only hurt you to know?
By the way, I'm over the whole needing to be mature thing. That time you just spent in the kitchen? That was enough time apart.
angel: too much.

FINALLY

Okay so here are the pics for our angst survivor:

1.

Angel: "It never happened."
Buffy shakes her head: "It did. It did. I know it did! (Puts her hand on his heart) I felt your heart beat."
Angel: "Buffy.."
They kiss. Buffy looks over at the clock. The minute is almost up.
Buffy: "No! Oh God. It's not enough time."
Angel is crying too now: "Shh, please. Please."

2.

Buffy: Is that it? Is that everything? Y'know, 'cause you woke me up
from a really good dream.
She turns away from him and lies back down.
Angel: Sorry. I'll go. I missed you.
Buffy: (turns to the window) I missed...
Angel is already gone.

3.

Buffy: We're not friends. We never were. And I can fool Giles, and I
can fool my friends, but I can't fool myself. (shakes her head) Or
Spike, for some reason. What I want from you I can never have. You don't
need me to take care of you anymore. So I'm gonna go.
Angel: I don't accept that.
Buffy: You have to.
Angel: How can...
He takes a step toward her, and she backs away.
Angel: There's gotta be some way we can still see each other.
Buffy: There is: tell me that you don't love me.
Knowing that saying those words would be a lie, Angel instead says
nothing. After a long moment, Buffy turns and goes back into the mansion
and leaves.

4.

Angel: Am I a thing worth saving, huh? (shakes her) Am I a righteous
man? (shakes her) The world wants me gone!
Buffy: (tearfully) What about me? I love you so much... And I tried to make you go away... I killed you and it didn't help.
She shoves him off of her and gets up.
Buffy: (crying) And I hate it! I hate that it's *so* hard... and that
you can hurt me *so* much. (sobs, then harshly) I know everything that
you did, because you did it to me. Oh, God! I wish that I wished you
dead. I don't. (whispers) I can't.
Angel gets up now, too.
Angel: Buffy, please. Just this once... let me be strong.
Buffy: Strong is fighting! It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every
day. It's what we have to do. And we can do it together.

5.

Angel: (bumps into her) Listen, if we date you and I both know one thing's gonna lead to another.
Buffy: One thing already has led to another. You think it's a little
late to be reading me a warning label?
Angel: I'm just tryin' to protect you. This could get outta control.
Buffy: Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?
He grabs her by the shoulders and pulls her closer. She draws a startled
breath.
Angel: This isn't some fairy tale. When I kiss you, you don't wake up
from a deep sleep and live happily ever after.
Buffy: No. When you kiss me I wanna die.

6.

Angel: Some lies are necessary.
Buffy: For what?
Angel: Sometimes the truth is worse. You live long enough, you find that out.
Buffy: I can take it. I can take the truth.
Angel: Do you love me?
Buffy: What?
Angel: Do you?
She takes a moment to consider her answer.
Buffy: I love you. I don't know if I trust you.
Angel: Maybe you shouldn't do either. (turns away)
Buffy: Maybe I'm the one who should decide!

7.

Angel: I'm trying to do what's right here, okay? I'm trying to think with my head instead of my heart.
Buffy: Heart? You have a heart? It isn't even beating!
Angel: Don't.
Buffy: Don't what? Don't love you? I'm sorry. You know what? I didn't know that I got a choice in that. I'm never gonna change. I can't change. I want my life to be with you.
Angel: I don't.
Buffy: You don't want to be with me? I can't believe you're breaking up with me.
Angel: It doesn't mean that I don't ...
Buffy: How am I supposed to stay away from you?
Angel: I'm leaving. After the Ascension, after it's finished with the Mayor and Faith. If we survive, I'll go.
Buffy: Where?
Angel: I don't know.
Buffy: Is this really happening?

8.

Angel: I know this is hard.
Buffy: What do you know about this? You're never gonna die!
Angel: You think I want anything to happen to you? Do you think I could
stand it? We just gotta figure out a way...
Buffy: I already did. I quit, remember? Pay attention!

9.

Angel: Buffy, this is worse than anything we've ever faced. It's the only way.
Buffy: (voice cracking) I can't watch you die again.
He lifts his hand to her cheek and rubs it gently, looking deeply into her eyes.
Angel: I love you.
Buffy: (takes his hand) I love you.
Angel: Nothing can change that. Not even death.
She jerks his hand away and steps back, angry about his defeatist attitude.
Buffy: Don't talk to me like that! *You* may be ready to go, but *I* am not ready to lose you.

10.

Angel: (confused) What's happening?
Buffy: (whispers reassuringly) Shh. Don't worry about it.
Buffy: (whispers) I love you.
Angel: (whispers) I love you.
She touches his lips with her fingers again.
Buffy: Close your eyes.

Whew! I hope that's good. And that no one minds that I had to resize the photo's to add the words that matched. I thought it was fitting. Oh and I also removed the scene from Innocence as it's more Buffy/Angelus than Buffy/Angel.

And gah, those IWRY caps, it makes me smile even though it's kind of sad considering how short lived it all was.

Man, it's so hard to vote any of those moments off. BA do the angst so beautifully despite the heartbreak of it all, but I'll go ahead and vote 2.

I simply adore Buffy & Angel

They are one of my fave fictional couples all the time. BtVS is very likely the tv series I watched the most, especially the first three seasons (and AtS' IWRY). It's a fantastic show and I miss it terribly!!!

The OP is awesome.

I was amazed by all the B/A pictures, quotes, animations, videos and arts. Everything is absolutely fabulous.

Gah! It's been so long since the last time I've seen them. Maybe it's time for me to pull out my DVDs and rewatch their scenes.

Oh I agree Shauna, I'm glad we got the episode, I just wish we had gotten more with it in later seasons. It would have been interesting to see Angel struggle more with it, though what we did get in Sanctuary was pretty amazing in regards to that, but I wish Buffy would have remembered the day at some point. That would have been an interesting storyline, a lot better then what we did get in the majority of s4. Or at least she could have remembered it after she came back from the dead, but I guess they left what happened in IWRY in s1 of AtS unfortunately.

Oh I love your icon btw, it's so beautiful.

I think 5 votes for one is enough, that's what I usually do on survivors I run, all depending on how many people vote.
