I'm doing a HIMYM rewatch these days and I realized how much I miss them

Their buildup in season 4 was just.....beautiful.

I never understood why they didn't drag out the fact that they didn't know they were in a relationship in the beginning of season 5. It set up so much comedy but after the first episode they just....were and that was it. I never got it.

I just hope they can fix it. I shipped them so hard and now they've become a couple I'd still like to happen but I've kind of given up.

Oh no I totally believe that and am optimistic and want them together, but my shipperness hasn't flared up for BR lately. Like I don't know if I can ever feel the way I felt about them in seasons 3 and 4.

I hope this next season shows Robin's feelings the way season 4 showed Barney's and then I might die of happiness

It was. I just don't get how the writers can spend so much time on building their relationship and have it end ... just like that. And the way that they broke up as well didn't feel right, they did make each other happy. Period.

I didnt understand why the writers felt the need to break them up after that long build up And S5 overall was a huge disappointment and it was so OOC hence the Robin/Don thing. And the way they handled Barney and Robin as characters was also disappointing. And the BR break up wasn't funny at all I kept rolling my eyes and cursing the writers for doing this to us

I have big hopes for them next season because the finale was just..

I totally understand what you mean, it was devastating and disappointing how BR was handled in Season 5. It felt very OOC and their breakup scene and reason for it didn't feel realistic to me. He spent a better part of the season pining for her and suddenly they realise they don't make each other happy?

The writers seem to be getting on the right track again but I'm not keeping my hopes too high for them to be dashed again.

That is why I also had a problem with S5. The break up affected Robin more than Barney, I didn't like how they suddenly had Barney going back to his womanizing ways right after the break up it was like 1000 steps back for his character. But I'm happy with how S6 went, except for the Barney/Nora thing, but after that season finale I'm excited to see how it will all play out! And Robin better be the the bride, or no wedding at all!

I'm pretty confident they know they are going the BR route. It's just how that I'm wary about after almost being ruined by the cold feet of the writers.
