Never read the book but the movie looks good! A little excited for it actually. Odd, romantic movies aren't usually my type.

Let me get this straight,...Ethan and Darcy used to go out until she hooked up with Dex, who wanted Rachel and vice versa ...right?

In the book, Ethan, Darcy and Rachel are friends from the school's days (if my memory is good, Rachel liked Ethan but Darcy "won" his heart at the end). Ethan and Darcy are Rachel's best friends but only her friendship with Ethan is genuine. With Darcy.. it's all about her. Probably you will love to hate her. In the movie I suppose they changed something because, in the book, Ethan was absent, he appeared only when Rachel went to London after the "breakup" with Dex.
Ethan will be relevant in the second book when his story with Darcy will become the focus of it.
Personally I prefer Rachel/Dex couple (they are complicated but genuine) and I like Ethan too. Maybe, thanks to Kate Hudson, I will start to like Darcy..

Oooohhh, alright then. From the trailer alone, I'm not much into Ethan/Darcy, but I really do love Dex/Rachel. They do seem very genuine.

It's because Rachel and Dex are the main couple of this movie (they are so cute!). I suppose they added something of Ethan because they planned the sequel of it with Ethan and Darcy's story.

I've been able to watch a test screening of the movie in early February during the Berlin Film Festival in Berlin, Germany.

I've been a big fan of the book(s), so I was really looking forward to how they adapted "Something Borrowed". First of all, the actors were great. I didn't expect it at first, but Ginnifer and Colin were just perfect as Rachel and Dex. They did such an amazing job and I was sitting in the cinema with a pounding heart the whole time. Kate and John were hilarious, but I didn't expect any less and just because of those two, I really hope they'll adapt "Something Blue" (the sequel to "Something Borrowed") as well.

I've read the book a couple of years ago, so I don't remember every detail of it, but I don't think they left any major facts out. It's a great chick-flick. I'm not sure if guys will enjoy it much, but it's a great movie to watch with your girlfriends/mother/sisters, etc.

We've already got our date(s) lined up, we've picked out a dress (okay, maybe not a dress), heck, we'd RSVPed yes to the big screen adaptation of "Something Borrowed" long before the trailers even arrived.

But now, much to our delight, Warner Bros. has released a second trailer for "Something Borrowed," and it's even better than the first. Now there's more back story on could-have-been/should-have-been-a-couple-but-are-instead-just-friends Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Dex (Colin Egglesfield, whose name, for some crazy reason doesn't appear in the preview!).

In Emily Giffin's best-selling book upon which the movie is based, it was Rachel and Dex's past that made us really swoon over them and hope for the best for the two after their fateful night after Rachel's 30th birthday party (also seen in the trailer).

We also liked how this new trailer seemed to shed light on the fact that it's less a slapstick-y, rom-com (even though they did leave in that rather silly badminton scene on the beach towards the end), as it is a story about the trials and tribulations of love and friendship. Viewers got a little more on Rachel's complicated friendships with Dex's fiance, her beautiful, but selfish best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson) and her funny, voice-of-reason pal Ethan (John Krasinski).

Other second "Something Borrowed" trailer highlights include: Rachel and Dex's sexy smooch in the cab, that flashback moment when their hands justabouttouch in a bar and Rachel's heartbreaking advice to Darcy after she asks for help with her vows, "Tell him the idea of life without him is unimaginable."

Okay, images of John's cute smile and Colin's open shirt don't hurt either!

So while we've had the "Something Borrowed" date saved for some time (May 6th), this new trailer is simply a helpful reminder that it can't get here soon enough.

I agree with it too, the second trailer is better than the first, and I found weird that Colin's name doesn't appear on it. Of course, Ginnifer, Kate and John are popular actors but Colin (Dex) should be the lead of this movie...
