Couples - Ben/Margene (Big Love): Because she thinks he a good guy

Ben and Marjene have been flirting on an off since the pilot but it was most pronounced in the episode 'Roberta Funeral.' I like this couple, but it woudl be really complicated for them to be together and very very weird/awkward. I still like them though

You're not the only one. It is hard to see it ever really happening, but I do enjoy their flirtation and the possibility.

That's so true.

I think that Ben/Margene might be an under current for a few season. Then maybe Margene will decide she doesn't want to be a wife anymore (which seems to be where it's heading) and then it will be a little least weird....very little but still

Ben will be older by then and at least Margene won't be a wife anymore.

I'm getting the pilot right now but i dont think there's anything of them in that. SO I'll try to get the second episode and the sixth with the hug

I dont see margene being a wife in the long run as well. She just seemed like she was lost and lonley ( which see still seems like she is lonley) I dont think this is the lifestyle for her.

It's strange because she sounded like she was very excited about the single's events that Pam was talking about, didn't she? It makes me wonder what she's thinking.

I just can't wait to see what happens with Ben and margene

You know I really see chemistry and connection between Ben and Margene and I love how the interplay is happening so subtely between them, but I wonder about the nature of coupling on a show about polyamorous relationships.

I mean just that the show is about trying to show us that there are people who work well within them, but that all of the shipper groups seem geared towards couples. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing but just interesting.

Personally I'm very into the idea of polyamorous relationships, and ship them more often now than I used to. So Big Love is my new favorite show.

You know I thought that to. She seemed really excited about the singles event. It may just be she is happy she has friends and things to do, but really she needs to worry about her family.

^ She should focus on her family, but I also think Margie settled down way too young. There are people who can settle down at a young age and be perfectly happy but I don't think that she is one of them. Also, I don't really even see Margie as a wife. I see her more as a one of the chidren.

The interesting thing about the Henrickson is that they are supposed to be one big happy family but each of the wives is out for their own personal gain in some way. Barb with her affiar with Bill. Nicki with her scheming and lieing. Margie branching out and making friends that put the family in danger. It's ironic that the show is called 'Big Love' but there isn't much love between the wives. They hardly tolerate eachother most of the time.

I see so much chemistry between Ben and Margene! I hope it's on purpose and not just a natural chemistry between the actors that's only coming across to by accident. It would be such a shame if this chemistry was put to waste by making Ben turn out to be gay.

If it weren't for all the hinting at B/M I wouldn't mind if he turned out gay, but I would be so disappointed if he did now.

Im glad that there wasnt another wife like nikki thought and it was just bill and barb getting it on.

Well have to see how the rest of the season goes for them. I definatly see some flirtation there. She is young and ben is coming into his age so you never know. It would be weird though if they got together. If they stayed together and got married then his brothers and sisters would become his step kids. LOL so weird to even think about.

I just saw an interview with Ginnifer. She said that the Ben/Margene tension will be tackled midseason!
