Exactly. I feel like things are going to be kind of blah-ish at first but that's expected since there's going to be angst. I really do feel like by the end of the season we'll be back on track.

That's my feeling as well.The way Julie Plec talked in her latest interview makes me feel like he needs to be the one to fight for himself and Caroline as well,to get free of Klaus.And she needs to get that she just can't help who she loves.

I see this cooling off period as a way for them both to figure things out. For Caroline I see her as not saying anything in 3x09 as her way of protecting herself. If she doesn't allow herself to admit that she's in love with Tyler, she believes that she won't get hurt again since she's been burned one to many times. This is for her to realize that she can't help who she loves and once she realizes that, she's going to fight.

For Tyler its more of a self discovery journey. He believes the only thing that was ever good about him was Caroline. And now that he thinks that he's lost her he's going to have to truly find himself and figure out the person he really wants to be. In 3x06, he said that everything he likes about himself is Caroline and how he doesn't want to be the same person he was in early season 1. He's going to fight to be the person he wants to be.

I agree with both you guys! Can't wait for them to get back on our screens, even if I will be holding my breath and aching alongside Tyler. It reminds me of the saying that 'someone else can't truly love you until you love yourself'. Tyler needs to appreciate who he is and what he's been through. He might not be perfect but my god I don't think anyone has suffered as physically as he has during his transformations and he has lost just as many people as Matt in his life. He's a strong person who still feels compassion for others despite his own preoccupations and crappy hand life has dealt him. Caroline helped him with some of this but his own resilience is all him at the end of the day and I think being without Caroline for a bit will show him that - his value lies from the inside out not just the outside in.

I really have no idea how Caroline react cope with everything that's going on. I can make guesses but she's much more of a wild card for me than Tyler. Very curious and excited to see what role she'll now play in Tyler's life.

Will we get the plot synopsis for Caroline's birthday episode today? I hope so!

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Tyler doesn't appreciate himself. He needs to realize that he's a good guy and needs some self discovery. I think Caroline will in fact show some pining.

I hope so. When did we get the synopsis last week? And I'm curious about those photo shoots that happened a few weeks ago.

I defintely agree that Tyler needs to realize that he is good guy who is trying the best he can with the hand he got dealt. It's just that for Tyler it's not so easy for him he doesn't have a strong support system around him like most of the others do. He really only has his mom whose hit or miss when it comes to him and Caroline who at the moment isn't really in his life. So this will not be easy at all for him to get through on his own and he is pretty much on his own right now.

I'm wondering if they will officially break up in that episode. I'm not saying that they will, but I'm kinda leaning towards them ending it together considering right now they can't see each other's side of things.
