Yeah, the avatar is changed. I watched Dirty Dancing again earlier this weeks since it was aired on TV again. Couldn't resist despite the fact that I own the VHS as well.

I Dirty Dancing! Baby and Johnny are so cute together! I love that scene when they are lip-syncing the song together.

Most recently, found out my sister in law, who is about 10 years younger than I am has never seen this movie. She has seen parts of it, but not the whole thing. Every time I go see her, I take my dvd, but it never happens. I can't wait til she sees it for the first time. I know she'll be going crazy. __________________

OMG I can't believe that there are people out ther who hasn't seen this movie.
Anyhow, you got to tell us about her reactions when she has seen it. Despite the fact I practically know the dialouge by heart by now I still remember the feeling I had after having seen this for the first time in theatres. Easily impressed teenager back in the day, that's me. __________________

I just rewatched it a few moments ago and I still love it. I think Dirty Dancing is one of those movies where you never get enough of, the more you see it, the more you love it.
And everytime I see it, I want to be able to dance just like they dance in the movie. __________________

I like the song that plays in the scene when Johnny leaves Baby best. It's so sad and beautiful...

Keie - Yes is a nice song. Brienchen - I always wanted to be able to dance like that too. The fact that Cynthia Rhodes who played Penny was a proffesional dancer and that Patrick Swayze learnt dancing from his mother at a young age makes the whole movie more realistic in my opinion. @Maxi
I didn't know that, but I already thought that Penny had to be a professional- she danced even better than Baby. I found some pics: __________________

Yes, she was. And she also danced really, really well- better than Baby, who danced also great. I'd really love to be able to dance like one of them. Who doesn't?

Yeah - I envy their dancing talents. Not sure I'd be able to put in the effort it takes though, but knowing how much time it takes getting that great makes their efforts even more worth in my opinion.
Since I hadn't heard anything about Cynthia Rhodes in ages I looked her up on the net, and the most recent info. I picked up said she was a stay-at-home mum for her and husband Richard Marx's children. I was so pleased to hear that they still are married, because I remember thinking what an adorable couple I thought they made when they got married. __________________
