I never really *got* Aragorn/Arwen. Aragorn/Eowyn seemed like a more natural pairing with better compatibility and just made more sense overall. Their scenes in the movies were cuter than anything with A/A, imo.

It's been a long time since I've talked with other Fearless Souls. (IIRC, that's what we A/E shippers used to be called on the LOTR board.) All this A/E loveliness makes me want to watch the movies again, especially The Two Towers.

I completely agree! When I first watched the films,I thought A/A were wonderful! But then,something started to bug me about their relationship and their scenes together.I noticed that I much preferred his scenes with Eowyn to those with Arwen.Once I read some of the books,I was confirmed as an A/E shipper and an anti-A/A.The films don't make A/A look great in my opinion,but the books are what really show they ridiculousness of A/E in comparison with A/E.As you said,A/E is just a more natural,compatible pairing.They seemed to just go together like they were meant for each other.They had a very mature way of interacting with one another,but they knew how to have fun too! They're scenes in TT were MADE of cuteness!

It is an AMAZING song! I had it on constant play in my CD player last night!I adore it and Snow Patrol! I may be able to come up with more A/E appropriate songs by SP if I think about it.

I've only been on FF since October,so I've been wondering,whatever happened to the LOTR board? It seems odd that we don't have one.
I love the shipper name:Fearless Souls.It goes perfectly with the characters we're shipping. I can only find other Fearless Souls online.Every person I know in RL is fervently A/A.
All of this A/E loveliness makes me want to rewatch LOTR too! The Two Towers is so amazingly shippy! And it ends on a high note for A/E! If you watched it without knowing what was going to happen in ROTK,you might think that they end up together.

The LOTR board was closed because it didn't meet the daily post count, but the old threads are still there if you go to the FF Main Menu (where you can choose Info Center, New Forums, General Discussion, Female Celebrities, etc.) and choose Closed Forums. You can read some of our old A/E posts. Yes, I love the shipper name we had...it said so much about Aragorn and Eowyn's strength.

You may join as long as you don't make pro-book shipper arguments. This thread is intended to be an overall A/E shipper thread,books AND movies. And most of us here are pretty anti-Arwen in any format. This isn't a thread for defending the other ships,book or film. They-or at least,A/A-have their own threads in which you may discuss them.
