Larry: Ally, I don't like being surprised in court. It's a peeve.
If I am to continue representing you, you will fill me in on all the incidental little tidbits, do we have an understanding?
Ally: (in her head) It's when he got strict with me I knew I liked him. I hope this doesn't mean deep-down I want to be spanked.

~ (before the deposition) ~
Ally: You know I don't know how the hell you plan to practice law without a conference room.
Larry: Okay. Something's the matter. Have a seat.
Ally: I'm not gonna sit. I bet you just love that, don't you?
Getting all the girls to come in and sit. Well that's not the way it goes here. If it's not about the case, I don't sit.
Larry: Alright. I've been meaning to ask you something for awhile now,
and it seems that this would be a good time. (pause) Ally, are you nuts?
What's wrong?
Ally: I'm erratic, okay?! It's my right!

~ (in her office after the meeting with Kimmy & her lawyer) ~
Ally: How dare you make me apologize to that vile, rapid yacht! Talk about groveling!
Larry: I was looking to make the lawsuit go away - which it did.
Ally: Well it wasn't worth it!
Larry: Yes it was.
Ally: To have to suck up to her and pay her legal fees?! This was a stupid case!
Larry: Which you started.
Ally: And any half ass lawyer -
Larry: That would be me.
Ally: Would have declared it Nelle in-void with one motion.
Larry: Null in-void. Nelle's your colleague.
Ally: Who you're dating, and I find that completely inappropriate. I suppose you're seeing her tonight.
Larry: Actually, no. I'll be with her mother.
Ally: This case is over! You can go now!
Larry: I don't want to go. I want you to ditch the father-and-son act. I'll declare Nelle void. We can have dinner tonight.
Ally: Done! (her head) It happened that fast.

~ (dancing during their first date) ~
Ally: So, if you were interested, why did you encourage me to date the father and son?
Larry: Well, I didn't know you were interested. Plus, it would be unethical for a therapist to hit on his patient.
Ally: What about a lawyer hitting on his client?
Larry: I can only be so ethical.
Ally: Larry?
Larry: Hmm?
Ally: Shutup.
Larry: Done.

For some reason, I never liked the idea of Ally & John (couple-wise) and wasn't open to the possibility of any romance between them. I did really enjoy their friendship though. They were great as friends.

I liked the possiblity of her and Billy when he was alive (even though he was married). I think if he had still been on and gotten divorced, him and Ally might have been together. But, then she probably wouldn't have been with Larry.

I still wish RDJ would have stayed clean so him and Ally could have gotten their wedding after all. According to Calista, the script was wonderful.

And I really like Ally with Billy too, the love their shared was really beautiful ! I've actually cried when he died

I was so sad when I learn about RDJ and his problem it's sucks otherwise we could have seen a lot more of A/L love

I remember to have read about their wedding like you said sweetee! to bad we never see that ! I'm sure it could be awsome and emotional

Yeah not alot of people were too fond of the idea of Ally/John together romantic wise like how I saw them but I agree with you both on how great of a friendship they had.

I had hoped Larry would come back in the finale eppy and sweep her off her feet, instead of having her end up all alone. I found the ending to the show very depressing and kind of mirroring the very beginning.

I wonder how differently the show would have ended if not for RDJ's problems with the law.

Ash I think without RDJ's problems with the law Ally&Larry would probably ended up together may be not at the end of season 4 cause may be they would still put problems between them but I'm sure they would have find their way back to each other... cause passionate love never end

I agree, Mel. I know A/L had a large fan-base and Calista and Robert were good friends off-screen.

I love that scene where he comes back and the snowman is sitting in the middle of the room instead of in the freezer. And then he asks to move in with her. The whole "I promise I won't shave my legs in the tub" line was hilarious!
