Right from their first scene I was like "I ship them!" And it was shocking because I really for the most part just accepted Daryl alone and just felt he was better that way.
His character just works without a love interest but it's something about Connie that was totally different and that had a different vibe right from their first scene together.


With Daryl/Carol, I never really embraced them romantically because it felt like Carol always wanted to take that step but Daryl could sort of care less. lol And I think probably it's because of his history with women? probably a lot of non intimacy... since that's sort of how he acts, but their friendship I've always been in love with. Carol was the first one to really truly understand and get Daryl! she was the one to really break through his tough exterior side. Their journey has been great for me to watch.

I didn't ship Beth/Daryl because at the time I did feel she was too young... I just didn't feel the romantic thing, however I do feel if probably Beth would've stayed longer probably my mind would've changed on it? Because I loved the centric episode with just those 2 but it just wasn't strong enough for me to ship it romantically.

I know. I really feel this is the best opportunity the writers are going to get to make a Daryl romance and I was shocked when I watched Talking Dead 2 weeks ago and 81% of the fans voted FOR their romance. Very rare that happens with a new character that is coming on a show that's been on for so long. So they already got the support from a lot of viewers so that is not a problem.


Writers definitely missed their chance... I just don't see the romances aspect of it.

Yes... pretty much agree with you on Beth/Daryl... age difference doesn't bother me for tv pairings at times... but with Beth, she really looked young for me so I just couldn't click in the romance part yet. lol
But yeah, I enjoyed their scenes a lot.
