I think Pre-pilot. Their was more hype surrounding them. I think people were even comparing Bash to Damon, and Francis to Stefan. Even though their is only a few similarities between them.

But i just want them to be happy. I want the season to end with them happy, Bash/Francis relationship remaining intact, because they are my ultimate bromance in the series. Bash falling for in love with somebody else. But I want them happy, and have them be happy for awhile.

The writers need to understand, a love triangle is always necessary to have drama, and a good storyline. Honestly from the looks of it, they can't even make a decent love triangle.
