If Lola died I'd have no problems with Frary raising the child. The mother wouldn't be there, neither would be the father (meaning the guy who was supposed to look after it), Mary could just tell Francis the truth and while it could cause some friction we can't forget that it was Lola who asked Mary to keep it a secret. Which has been killing Mary anyway. Plus, since at some point Francis will die, I think it would be nice for Mary to have someone that reminds her of him. So really, if I could play "pick the dead" I'd definitely go for Lola.

I don't want anyone to die
 (not even Henry) but the scenario in which Francis and Mary raise the baby and then Mary keeps looking after him/her after Francis is no longer there () would be a good one. It would create drama but not a rift between them and if they can't have a baby of their own, because of history, at least we'll have them with this baby  Toby did say something similar in his interview, that they could adopt the baby, didn't he? __________________
