Hey Daggi I opened this new thread and came up with a new title - practicing my opening and closing threads I put all the books we've read in the OP and changed the pictures to some new books

Great job, Fiona!

I'm currently reading Unscripted Love (Road to Blissville #1) by Aimee Nicole Walker and listening to Illegal Contact (The Barons #1) by Santino Hassell.

So I just read a book called Yanni's story by N. R. Walker as well. There was a few things in it about abuse but it wasn't too bad I guess with the story. It does come from another set of books but you don't need to read those to get this book or understand the characters. It is an age difference and a little bit of a 'daddy' thing going on as well which I hadn't really read before so that was a bit different. Anyway - enough from me Anyone else reading anything at the moment?

Do you recommend Yanni's story, Fiona? I'm not particularly a fan of "daddy" stories. But if the age difference isn't made to be a big deal in the story, I can enjoy it. I just don't like the power struggle that is sometimes in those relationships.

I'm still reading Unscripted Love and listening to Illegal Contact...I'm slow these days. But I have an hour left of the second one. I have to pick another book for my ride to my mom's later this week.

Has anyone read Not His Kiss to Take by Finn Marlowe? This is a story with an age difference. It has some weird stuff in it that I would never had read if not for a Goodreads group I was a part of. I read it in 2013, then reread in 2015. I definitely recommend it...that is if you don't get squicky about some medical stuff. Also...the younger who is rescued has some major trauma to deal with, so there might be some triggers.

I don't think the age difference is made to be a big thing in this story. Yanni has gone through some abuse so he finds it hard to trust people and things so they start as friends who just hang out together. As the story goes they become closer - I don't think it is a power struggle because the older man is trying to be so understanding and accepting and loves him so it's not about a dom/sub as such and because of the previous abuse it never goes into that. It's more like the older one takes care of him and looks after him and the younger one loves the understanding and compassion. It's more a story of Yanni's recovery and falling in love slowly and carefully.

No I haven't read that one Deborah - just read some goodreads reviews - could be a little, shall we say, different? I'm not sure about that one

What made me change my mind the most about Not His Kiss To Take is that the dialogue was hilarious at times. AND... it had a happy ending.

I've put Yanni on my to read list. I've read that the previous trilogy is great too.

The Spencer Cohen series is good too That's about Spencer (Australian) and Andrew (American) and how they come to be a pair and their story. That set does have some sad bits in it as well but not the abuse stories as such like Yanni. I've read all of them too

Well I do like funny stories and I do like happy endings as we know

I started the first Spencer Cohen book on audio. I just love it because the narrator is Australian, so it sounds authentic. His American female voices though, are annoying.

I can't wait to get in the car and resume where I left off.
