I watched the episode last night you know what else I found hilarious when Ted and Emmett go to the lesbian bar and the lesbian hits on Ted and then Emmett says she just hasn't been the same since her hot flashes started

I know I wouldn't have! It was so obvious that he wasn't sincere. At all!

Of course he does, but as soon as people see that huge smile, they know that he isn't sincere.

Justin's is..SUNSHINE!

Time for me to analyze episodes with a super long post! You know you love it!

I just watched 507-509. I think I'm a glutton for punishment. I sat through the entire BJ breakup & I watched the BM argument all over again in 507. My sister watched the show passively. She wasn't a massive fan but she would sit with me if I played the dvds. She just pointed out how Brian never messes up quietly. It always has to be on a grand scale. Kinda like what Debbie said to him in season 1 after he "ruined" Mikey's birthday party. In 507, He managed to get dumped & lose his best friend all in one episode.

Brian is good at masking his feelings but you can always tell when he's hurt even if he doesn't show it. And when he does show it, it's the most heartbreaking thing ever! I hate seeing him cry or in any pain. When Michael shouted the "Who wouldn't" line, the look on Brian's face made my heart stop when I first saw it. I remember sitting there with my mouth open. I don't think that Brian expected Michael to be so harsh & blunt with him. Neither did I. I kept waiting for Michael to say he didn't mean it or backtrack on his words but he didn't. The silence spoke volumes. He didn't even flinch after Brian stood there looking hurt. The line was harsh but I think it was needed. Brian needed a jolt & Michael needed to stand up for himself. Brian shouldn't have blamed him for his problems with Justin. It had nothing to do with him. Seeing Justin on the stairwell reminded me of a child hearing his parents argue. That scene is always hard to watch, but I can't help but watch it over and over. I'm sick.

In 508, I like the scene between Brian & Ted. Ted was trying to get Brian to talk about his problems to make him feel better. I thought he was gonna tell him to f@%k off. Instead we got this:

Brian: My mother was a frigid bitch, my father an abusive drunk. They had a hateful marriage, which is probably why I am unwilling or unable to perform a long term, committed relationship of my own. The fact that I drink like a fish, abuse drugs, and have more or less redefined promiscuity doesn't help, much. As a result, I've lost the two people in my life that mean the most of me.

He basically summed it up. I was surprised he said it to Ted of all people.

In 509, We got Brian's heart to heart with Debbie. Can I just say how much I love scenes between these two? I know I keep saying how bad I feel for Brian but it's true. When he says "He won't talk to me" it once again broke my heart. Gale's facial expressions always get a reaction from me. He's like a lonely dog. He's lost the love of his life & his best friend in the whole world. I can't even imagine what that would be like! At the gallery, I kept willing Brian to tell Justin that he loved him or at least missed him! Grrrr! His pride always get in the way.

The same way with Michael. He goes to Michael to give his usual halfhearted apology thinking it would be enough. Only this time Michael doesn't accept it. I have to admit that I teared up when Brian tried to hug him & he pushed him away saying "Aren't you afraid I'll infect you?" The way Brian's face fell as Michael was talking killed me. The Brian & Mikey Show was over. I wanted to give Brian a hug when he stared at his best friend walking away from him.

Oh, how could I forget him imagining Michael was there. That sucked. I kinda knew it was a fantasy but it was still nice to see. a BJ fantasy would've been nice too but we did get the pining in Season 3 so I shouldn't be greedy.

The ending was even worse for me. The music, the confetti falling in slow motion in Babylon as Brian stood by himself with no one. I cried. I'm such a wimpy loser.

Now , I am going to watch 510 and bawl some more....and play the ILY over...and over.....

Hug him and kick him at the same time. There are certain scenes, where I just want to kick him for things he did or simply to tell him to finally open his eyes.

I think he had his eyes open he just didn't want to confront the truth sometimes.

I don't think so. At least not in the beginning. During the first season, he didn't really care about much and that's what I'm talking about. During that season, I just wanted to kick him. After that season, it was a bit better.

true during season 1 he rejected the mere idea of a relationship yet alone love.
