Season 3 here I come!!

I've only gotten as far as two episodes right now so maybe it won't be a novel this time.

It hurts my soul to see Brian and Justin apart. Especially when you can see how it affects both of them. Even though Justin is "happy" with Ethan, which I think he was, there's still something missing. And Brian is definitely hurting. If sleeping with people who look like Justin is any indication. Totally not a healthy way of dealing with it but you know he's never going to say anything. Plus the whole partying hard and dragging Michael with him (who stupidly listens and goes).

Brian punching Michael when he speaks bad about Justin tells you everything you need to know.

Ted & Emmett are so sweet and too cute (if Brian's faces at them are any indication ) and it makes me sad that Emmett cheats. When he was crying and talking to Ted both as his boyfriend and best friend made me sad.

I like how in spite of everything, Brian still pays Justin's tuition. (Justin's father is such a d*ck by the way). It shows that he loves him and cares even if he does claim it's a deal. The scene when Justin goes to Brian's loft to talk to him about it--Brian's face through the entire thing kinda breaks my heart. And I also like, how after that, Justin goes to Michael and agrees to work on the comic again.

Justin's hair is reaching the beautiful floppy length and that in itself deserves it's own thread.

Season 3 opened quite strongly. There are so many things that happened in those first few episodes, and you really get a sense of further character development here. And I agree about Justin's hair. He definitely looks good with it long, they all do. It seems like EVERYBODY's hair (except for Ben and Michael) got much longer after the season 2 finale, and they all looked good with it.

I actually like Emmett and Ted as a couple. In the beginning, they were really swet (some may even say sickening ) with their romance. I wish Emmett had not cheated on Ted, though. I think it says a lot about Ted's character to have forgiven him.. he did not want to lose his best friend.

Michael had that coming for a long time, the punch. He was doing and saying entirely too much for simple reason Justin arrived with Ethan. Michael started getting carried away with the put-downs and he ended up crossing a line. That line, as we all know, ultimately lead to Brian's fist.

Brian has so much love for Justin, it's so sweet. I feel as though Brian had an obligation to Justin. He did not have to continue to pay the tuition, but he just did. In a lot of ways, Brian probably continued to feel responsible for Justin & wanted to show him he would be there for him. Whether broken up or not. That's sweet.

Michael so deserved that punch - he crossed a line and it was disgusting what he said And then Brian goes to him to apologise - I'm like no - Michael needs to say sorry to you - he deserved it.

Brian and Justin apart is so sad and they are both so messed up without each other in their lives Neither really handled it well but Brian was worse I think with all the look alikes and everything - he was in so much pain

I wish Emmettt hadn't cheated either - I don't know why he did - I mean he's got Ted and he's happy - why go with Dijon? I don't get it? But Ted was amazing in the way he forgave him and listened to him so much - Ted's just great

Brian apologized because he hit his best friend and that’s fine. But at least Michael knew he deserved it.

Ted is loyal and forgiving to a fault. Emmett didn’t need to cheat, it made me sad. But then to his credit, he never did again and he was loyal. Although I think it’s worth mentioning that Emmett never once cheated on George.

I think I’m seven or so episodes in now.

I love Ted and Emmett teaching Debbie what to do with Carl. It made me laugh. But then Carl was a d*ck about it which was so rude. I’m glad she kicked him out. But also glad they worked it out.

Brian’s nephew was a little d*ck and deserved to have his head shoved in the toilet. I laughed at that. Don’t mess with Brian. It made me so angry that the kid accused him of sexual assault and also that Brian’s family was so quick to believe it. They really don’t care about him at all. Of course the kid learns the *****ty attitude from his mother. And again, Justin saves the day. Despite the notion that Brian is the saviour of sorts, Justin is the one who always swoops in and saves Brian when he needs it the most, no matter what. When he brought Brian’s bracelet back, I was just like “my God just kiss and make up already!!”

Ethan. B*stard. That’s all.

In that episode, I love how Michael confronts Ben on his steroid use and gets him to quit. (Which, Ben was insane for doing that!! He was a crazy person on steroids and he even hurt Brian!!). And also when Justin let Ethan have it. He did not hold back. One of the most important and truest things he said is when he said he never had to forgive Brian for anything because Brian never promised him anything but Ethan did. Glad he is out of the picture!!

Brian working with Stockwell is a typical Brian move. But Brian is also smart. He knows what he’s doing. And no matter what, his loyalties will always lie with his friends, whether he admits it or not.

I felt so bad for Ted when his business got shut down. He worked so hard for it. And it made me even sadder when he cried and Emmett held him.

Brian was jealous of Ethan, no doubt about that. And now you know he and Justin want each other. So just, get with it, boys!!

You're nicer than me about it

You know I never thought about it but you're right - that is interesting indeed - hhhmmm

Carl was nasty about it or not understanding and I am glad that Debbie stood up for herself and said get out. It was funny when Emmett and Ted went to explain to him as well at the police station - they looked so out of their comfort zone . And then Carl got some lessons for himself! That would be an awkward conversation to start

Brian's family were horrible to him and they didn't know him, like him or support him in any way really. It was very sad to see. That little brat was a shocker and I am so glad Justin was able to help him. He was always there to help him no matter what. That scene where they are just looking at each other when he puts his bracelet back on - they so love each other

Ethan. B*stard. That’s all.

I agree

Ben was working through a lot of issues but taking the steroids was never the right way to handle it. Michael did well to help him out and make him see it a bit more clearly. Goodbye Ethan - seriously - one night - you couldn't last one night? Apparently both Randy and Fabrizo were unhappy with the way things ended in the show between their characters and wished it hadn't ended that way.

Brian working with Stockwell is a typical Brian move. But Brian is also smart. He knows what he’s doing. And no matter what, his loyalties will always lie with his friends, whether he admits it or not.

Very true - even if they can't see it.

They are so good together - the best of friends despite everything.

exactly! Boys - get your act together

Aww really? That makes me kinda sad for them. I may think Ethan sucks but I do like Fabrizio!! (I knew him before Qaf, he was in a few episodes of Buffy)

Oh don't worry. I'm about to give it to Michael in my next novel haha

And I feel like the entire show is us screaming at Justin and Brian to get their ***** together

So--I watched a lot yesterday. I have on episode left of season three. I clearly have a problem lol but oh well

Enter Hunter. I like him and I like that Ben wants to help him. And it's so sad when he turns out to be positive, so young. But Michael? My God, why is he such a little b*tch? I mean, it makes me laugh but wow his attitude sucks. He wants Hunter gone and is so unwillingly to help. Seriously Michael, you were raised better!! And while I'm happy he's becoming a father, he's also such a paranoid worrywart following Melanie around. Although admittedly it was good that he was there when she needed him. But Michael, relax.

Oh Ted. I really feel for him. It must suck to see your partner (and everyone around you) doing good in their careers and such and not know what to do. It's normal to be a little depressed (or hell, even a lot depressed). But of course that is no excuse for drugs. It breaks my heart to see him go down that route. And breaks my heart even more to watch Emmett have to deal with the fallout. Ted went too far and is past being helped unless he decides to help himself. I have to say though that Scott did an amazing job!!

I love love love that Justin pops up at Brian's office and was just like "hey I want to intern here" Smart boy. And Brian, despite being his usual (pretend) mean self, wants him there too. I love when they finally get together and have sex in Brian's office. Very hot. And then he almost fires him when Justin shows him up in the presentation. But a part of me thinks Brian is proud of Justin too.

Justin making those anti-Stockwell posters are genius and such a Justin thing to do and I commend him for it. I love how Brian knows right away it was Justin. And he doesn't even reprimand him, not really. Even though he sort of tells him to stop. And then he ends up helping him anyways. Because he realizes Stockwell is a bad person and is threatening to take away everything Brian loves, as seedy as it may be haha.

Brian's aversion to being one of those couples who have sex at home simultaneously makes me roll my eyes and laugh. Like really dude? It's okay not to do it in some seedy back room haha. Although, I have to say, the scene with him and Justin in the alley (where after, Justin spits at the poster of Stockwell) is probably one of the hottest scenes ever. I have no explanation why, it just is.

I really like that scene where Stockwell is giving a speech and Justin and everyone else starts saying the names of the gay people who were killed/hurt and the police did nothing about. It was especially chilling when Justin said his own name.

When Stockwell and Brian's boss go to Brian's loft and find him and Justin and the propaganda posters is a mixture of funny (in the nervous laughter sort of way) and oh *****. But I believe Brian did the right thing in the end and even though he got fired, I think he knew it was right.

I love the scene between Brian and Debbie so much, when they're smoking a joint. They are amazing together and there is so much love between them. She really is his mother and it's so sweet to see. And she never stops telling him that he's a good person. Which he needs to hear and believe.

And then Brian decides to take justice into his own hands and do the work of the police for them. Which is incredibly dangerous but he does it anyways. And of course enlists the help of Justin. (Rage & JT for real lol). And then Hunter. It makes me laugh how he keeps trying to get with Brian and is rude to Justin and Justin is very territorial. And of course, they solve the murder. And the police refuses to help out. I half think it was a mistake on Brian's part to confront the killer because he killed himself and therefore would never have to answer for his crimes. But then again, I suppose he got what he deserved.

I definitely commend Justin for refusing to apologize to Stockwell. Even if it means sacrificing something, as he says to Brian.

Whoooo okay, what a novel!! I only have one episode left of season three. (Because I'm clearly insane )

Aggi You said novel. I personally enjoy reading each and every novel you got your name on. You are filled with some very insightful thoughts.

Here's my novel. I've got some stuff I want to get off my chest.

Awww... that is sad. I wish Fabrizio and Randy had got what they bargained for, but at the end of it all, it's still someone's creative vision. Which can be unpredictable.

Hunter: Michael was always being so unreasonable. He obviously did not want Hunter around, being that added fixture in their love nest. In a way I can understand his line of thinking, though. Their taking in Hunter (as altruistic an action that it was ) did bring on a set of problems they each had to work on. Hunter's rebellious attitude in the beginning didn't really help matters... but despite everything, Ben stayed true to his feelings and did the right thing by not listening to Michael. It is highly sad and unfortunate how Hunter got infected at such a young age, and he'd really been through a lot. Had they not taken him in, something really bad could have happened to him. You know, that moment he walks in and sees all the people gathered around to celebrate his birthday is a very touching one. It's like a light turned on in realizing what he always wanted, but until now, could never get: Which was love.

Ted's decline: Ted's rapid downfall was so very sad, it's literally hard to watch in a few places. He broke my heart so many times during this arc. This was all a result of a series of poor choices he began making in season 2, like the porn company. That had bad news written all over it from the jump. It was not a very good idea to begin with, and everyone, deep down, knew it. But he was seemingly happy again with in this knew endeavor. Ironic how the one thing that was supposed to fill whatever void he had, is what lead to all these problems. Ted's been unhappy for a very long time that he just got so sick of hurting. He wanted to use drugs to numb the pain. That NEVER works out well, and he could have really died.
Scott said he had to tap into a deep, dark place within his psyche to effect such a detrimental state for Ted. Even researching crystal meth addicts for this arc. Well, it worked, because it felt too real at times.

Brian: About Brian's aversion to at-home sex... maybe he felt that way because of his parents. He did no want to feel like a "breeder" in that regard. I don't know, really. Who really knows what happened in his youth or what he saw that caused him to have such a mindset. I've never been offended by this, but amused. Just think about it: A guy who always wants to get off in full public view, where his enemies who's ever wronged him and admirers alike who's ever loved him could see. It's the biggest F U to the world one could give, really. Either that, or he's just an out-right exhibitionist... a freak. Weird, though.

Mayoral Candidate : Stockwell gives off this really creepy energy. He was THE definition of a sociopath... that "Upstanding citizen, family man" he so emphatically exemplifies in public is a clear distraction from whatever/whoever he is. I just felt as though he always had something to hide. The look that appears on his face when he's bombarded with all the hate victims' images is haunting. You can tell that really hit a nerve within him. Of course, he was also a politician, and did not want his public image tarnished more than it already had been. So there's that, too.

Jason Kemp: I have to say, Debbie's... and then later, Brian's resolve for finding Jason Kemp's murderer(s) was outstanding. Debbie stopped at nothing to get this case solved, because if it were left up to her beau (ex-beau), Horvath, it might easily have turned into a cold case. Kinda disappointing when you think about it, because the PDs are supposed to be ON IT and know their s t. Which is not to say they all slack, but they have numerous and numerous cases to deal with already, and other cases may fall on the back-burner. Fortunately for Kemp's sake, Debbie was having NONE of that. She followed her heart and got multiple leads.

The two idiots showing up: Seriously, that scene where Stockwell and Vance show up at the loft just as Brian and Justin are going for it irritates me. Not so much because the scene was interrupted, but it just did not make any sense. Like, that could not have waited? You just HAD to bother them - and after office hours! Sorry, but after office hours, the boss is a non-factor to me. And why did Brian have to get up and answer? You play possum or pretend you're not there.

Aww haha thank you!! I'm a writer, I cannot be blamed lol.

I'm gonna follow your style:

Hunter: The part when he walked in to his surprise party warmed my heart. Like you said, it was a sudden realization for him that this is all he wanted. And Michael did eventually come around and love him. Michael is a bit of a drama queen/attention wh re

Ted: It broke my heart when he said he hated himself and didn't want to be himself anymore and that's why he liked the drugs. I can only imagine the place Scott went to but he did an amazing job.

Brian: Maybe you're right. He'll avoid anything to stop himself acting like a "breeder" or domestic. And if that means having sex outside then sure haha. Oh and he is a total exhibitionist freak

Stockwell: I agree with the creepy vibes thing. At the beginning, I thought for sure that he was going to turn out to be gay and want to sleep with/use Brian. Especially when they were in the hot tub. Like he would be a closeted gay man who went after gays.

Jason Kemp: This was for sure they police burying it. Maybe Stockwell did know about his partner murdering Jason and helped him cover it up? Or, the police (Horvath & the rest of them) didn't want to do something that would make the police look bad. Although to Horvath's credit, he did go to question the police officer. But it was too late.

And Stockwell and Vance showing up at Brian's loft was stupid, as you said. No one would do that. But I think at the point it was personal and Stockwell wanted to catch him in the act of doing something against him. Which, he did. And of course, Brian didn't have to answer.

Ok - some thoughts

Michael - he was so annoying at times with regards to Hunter. Hunter needed help but Michael just saw him as a male *** off the street and didn't want to help. He could've been more helpful - I mean he eventually came around but it took a while.

Hunter - he just wanted love and he certainly didn't get it at home - his horrible mother didn't deserve him. I'm glad he found Ben and Ben could be the support he needed and understand him.

Brian - he didn't always want sex outside - I mean he was asking tricks to his house in season one and there were times Lindsay saw men walking out of the bedroom when she brought Gus over in the morning. He even had men in the house after he broke up with Justin trying to recreate his time with Justin so I don't know why there is an issue with sex in the house. Maybe he just didn't want to get stale?

Ted - dark, dark, dark - he was so amazing in those scenes - it must have been so hard to do those scenes and for Peter to work with him as well going through those scenes as well.

Stockwell - eww - I thought he was going to be gay as well And him and Brian's boss going to his house at night is just wrong - there's no way a boss would be going to someone's house at night to see them. And you're with Denise - why would you answer? - I don't know if I would
