It goes to show…when Brian told Justin in S1 that no matter who he was ever with, he'd always be there. It was the same for Brian.

I don't think the words of the trick stung him…if that's what you mean. It was only that after he was finished, his illusion of Justin was smashed, that he was angry with himself. (which you guys said in your other two posts) Only Justin was his reigning top-10 (or 5).
Do you guys think that Brian really, truly enjoyed tricking after Justin left? Or do you think he was just doing it like a drug as pain management? __________________

I think Brian went on a tricking marathon to numb his pain, and ease his mind. Like with work or club/bar hopping, it established that like between emptiness and and temporary artificial euphoria. It was his very Brian-esque way of having therapy.

I remember when I joined this board about 3 years ago, some people thought that Brian didn't use sex as pain management, only that he liked sex. While I think that's definitely true…that he really enjoyed it…I do think that the frequent anonymous (for him) sex was definitely a crutch in some way.
