Brian is still in suit, without the coat but with the tie, shirt and trousers as a businessman who still cares for Justin's education. However the last scene is the kiss in the film: the deal and the love in one scene.

But we NEVER saw him come home, not change and just sit down and watch a movie in the dark either. He was really depressed.
When Justin came in and was snarky with him, it really upset me because of all people, couldn't he see that Brian was depressed? __________________

He would come home and immediately loosen up his tie, change clothes because then he would go to Babylon, but in that scene he kept he business clothes and decided to relax watching a romantic film. In a way he was considering his past attitude, Justin wanted to stay at home, one night at least.
