Switching up a little....

Scott did a fantastic job playing a crystal meth addled Ted. He really made me want to despise him for how he was behaving. He really had to did deep and bring that dark side Ted out.

He did! I remember him saying (some bonus material on the DVD) that, when they were filming that arc, the tension between Ted and Em even reflected on Scott and Peter in real life! They became more distant from each other and everything.

Great actors get so enrapt in their characters sometimes. I guess art does imitate life sometimes. Or is it life imitating art?

I remember Hugh Grant saying that he had no idea Renee Zellweger was American because she kept her Bridget Jones accent 24/7 during filming!!! Sorry, OT!

Don't be sorry about that! All I can say is Daniel Day Lewis…he's another that lives a character. So much so that he's been known to lose himself in roles, hence not taking all roles offered.

But yeah…I can see how Scott was deeply effected by playing a drug addict.

OMG, Daniel Day Lewis So intense, I'd never seen such an intensity in any actor until I discovered gorgeous Gale.

His wife has said it's very difficult in their personal life after he has "lived" his characters, because it takes awhile to come out of it as he becomes so immersed. Scary stuff right there!

I think, over the years, most of the main cast members have commented on how amazing Scott was in portraying the addicted Ted .. and how much Scott withdrew from the rest of the cast so as to remain in character.
