Season 3 discussion #3: We don't like violin music, let's chacha!

If you aren't spoiled and haven't seen the episodes beyond Season 3, then this thread is perfect for you. Discuss away! ;)

Aww. I l LOVE that last pic. It was such a great scene. Season 3 was great. The whole J/B break up added a little tension and drama, but the make up made it all worth it. ;)

oh the reunion definitely made it worth it :D

Did we actually see that kiss? I haven't watched in a while but it seems to me like it wasn't edited in :look:

CleverDevil 02-16-2008 04:14 AM

No, we didn't get that kiss. Brian put his arm around Justin's shoulders and they just took a look around. I would have liked to see that one :) .

I love S3 but Ethan was pretty exhausting. Oh, how much I enjoyed the break up. I love that dialogue. If he really was subconciously pushing Justin away like you assumed Do, that was the moment Ethan understood that his relationship with Justin wasn't built on love. At least not on Justin's part. I'm wondering if Ethan really loved Justin. I got the feeling Justin wasn't wrong when he said the music was everything Ethan ever really loved.

You know if we apply the idea that Ethan was a true artist, in love only with his music, we would have to say the same about Justin and his art ;) I think he did love Justin but maybe not enough to try harder to make it work. Same for Justin. He might have loved Ethan but not the way he loved Brian.

I think alot of B/J scenes were edited out :( Looking from the official sites screencaps they have shots I haven't seen in the show.

I agree with Ethan subconciously pushing Justin away. He showed many signs of not trusting Justin in regards to Brian. Though Ethan to me wasn't as much of a romantic in the beginning as he wanted to think he was. I always find people who are okay with someone cheating behind their partners back (with them), as being possible cheaters themselves IMO. Sure B/J had an open relationship but still it was a relationship. But story wise it made the E/J relationship possible so I understand why they made Ethan so forward in getting Justin.

Agree. I don't think their love ever surpassed the premature stages.

galesgirl645 02-16-2008 09:41 AM

I think they both fell under the illusion of what love was supposed to be and ethan must've realized that justin's heart just wasn't in the relationship after a while.

Switching the subject to keep this thread less B/J centric (obviously B/J/E discussion is more than welcomed on BJ thread ;)). What did you think about M/L's decision on Mel being the mother this time around?

Monticello 02-17-2008 04:56 PM

I think it was fine that Mel wanted to give birth to a child considering her complications, but I think she was rushing into it. Lindsay wanted to continue with her career so she didn't want to be the stay at home mom anymore. Melanie is used to being the provider so the role change for her might have been more difficult.

So I don't know, maybe they should have waited till they decided how they were going to juggle both career and caring for a new baby. They both put a lot of importance into their careers so it's a tough call.

galesgirl645 02-17-2008 06:01 PM

I think it was good that Mel wanted to be the one giving birth although she could've waited a little more since Lindsay's career was more settled.

CleverDevil 02-18-2008 04:37 AM

I agree with you. A bit more time and one or the other additional thought would have been better.

I guess Mel was a little overwhelmed by the fact that it was suddenly possible for her to become pregnant. Mel always seemed to love her job and I'm not sure she really thought it through when she made that decision. It was quite a deal for her to take it slow when the problems with her pregnancy occured. I guess she didn't even take something like that into account when she decided to carry the child.

galesgirl645 02-18-2008 02:56 PM

sometimes Mel just makes decisions on the impulse not really thinking about what might happen in the future.

~DresdenDoll~ 03-05-2008 01:39 PM

Anyone else was surprised she was such a goner for that pregnancy idea? She just never strike me as a motherly type to be honest...

galesgirl645 03-05-2008 02:31 PM

she even said something to that extent that should never be the type of mother lindsay was.
