There were so many things I would have changed in Brian's story. I think if the show was written today, he would have had a different one.

It would depend on the writers.. but if they would let the fandom help he sure would although probably I would really feel sorry for Michael then

I just feel that in today's climate, it would have been much more satisfying for Brian to be a nicer person. IDK...even if he wasn't monogamous and pretty much a SL^T, he could have been nicer...at least eventually.

I don't know.. looking at a lot of new movies, bad boys still are attractive, but I agree he probably wouldn't have had those backfalls in old habits.. although those weren't neccesary back then too..

I think it would have been a totally different story today - there are so many more gay men helping women out with kids and surrogates for gay men to have children and gay marriage and so much social media. He would've been on Grindr and getting his men that way and getting his groceries delivered. So I think in a way he would've been different to what he was 17 years ago when the show was written but exactly how I don't know

It sure does The show was only made 17 years ago but so much has changed since then. But at the same time so many of the issues in the show are still the same and are still struggles - it's amazing how the show can be so relevant even 17 years later

This show has aged really well. Even though we're all making wonderful steps in the right direction, we still have some major problems to work through as society. And QAF is just one of those shows that acts as a touchstone to the public's field of consciousness. It paints a good picture of the the effects our behavior has on other people, and more importantly... how one should or should not respond to that treatment.

It truly does and I couldn't believe when I first watched it that I felt so much feeling and resonance with today still and what issues are still being presented and ideas that are still coming up and still being dealt with.

I think especially the end of season one and start of two where we see Justin get bashed and how he heals from that - I mean that kind of thing still happens today and the victims are still blamed today as well even though it is rarely their fault and it's only because they are LGBTQ people.

the only thing you notice how old the show really is, if you take a closer look at the used technology my friend notivced last weekend that they still used vhs cassetts and the tvs or celphones are also not from this time

very true - that's probably the only thing - but the story lines and ideas are still so relevant - I can see why people want it back - like I've said before - they should just replay this show on tv as it is - it's still relevant

The show is only going to become more popular as new generations emerge, largely attributed to the hyper-accessibility the internet provides.
