I was talking about Justin's need to hear romantic words and how I think because of that he didn't realize that Ethan's words weren't true.

*shakes head* That's not what I meant. Brian pushing Ethan a little bit happened more in season 3 than in season 2 and that's what I was talking about and why I mentioned in my last post that it's hard to talk about J/E in the S2 thread.

But hey, there is one time Brian did a little pushing on Ethan in season 2 too: the "meeting" in the diner, when Brian put it all out with Ethan and Justin. I love that scene. I mean, it's terribly embarassing for Justin and sad for Brian that he has to do that, but damn he's so smart and pushy and those poor 2 kids just stand there dumbstruck

Claudia I love the pride dance too, the way Brian ignores the tricks and goes after Justin

Frankly I think Justin deserved that, if he wasn't going to own up to what he was doing then it was only logical I think that Brian did something about it.

I think in part Brian did it to make it easier for Justin, who clearly couldn't find the courage to tell him the truth. So Brian lay it all out, sparing Justin to have to confess.

...and therefore still making Justin feel guilty about all this. Yes, Justin deserved to be put on the spot right then and there, but somehow I was hoping he would do it a bit more obvious. I don't know how, but maybe by telling Justin what he really felt. But then again, I probably would have felt differently about this whole situation, if Brian had done that. Hmm...

I think Brian wasn't ready at all to express his real feelings about the situation. If he had been and he had told Justin what he really felt, probably things would have gone a lot differently in the end of the season.

I don't think it would've been in character for Brian at that time to tell Justin what he felt, Brian isn't really open with his feelings and at that time I think he felt it was for the best.
