But it's Brian, I mean... it's somehow like this: Once he likes you, he will like you forever. So no matter what Michael's doing, Brian will always love him, just as he says "Always have, always will".

And same goes for Lindsay.

But that love comes from somewhere, you have to earn it. Lindsay and Michael surely did, back when they all were younger. But I also think they keep earning it, because in spite of some bumps here and there, most of the times they are good friends. I agree that Brian is very loyal anyway. Once he loves you, he doesn't abandon you, no matter what you do to him.

as for Michael, I think it's quite clear he wasn't happy in Portland.I don't think Michael was just bitching. he actually told Emmet and Ted how difficult it was for him.knowing what David was like in S1 I have reason to belive he wasn't that understanding to Michael's needs.
I was glad Michael got back home,though. he was able to be there for Brian,plus he got another shot to a much better relationship.

Michael already had trouble with the relationship in Pittsburgh, imagine in Portland. The issues were always the same and it was kind of naive to think they would go away with moving. But I guess he had to at least try, so not to have any regrets.

at least in Pittsburgh he had his friends and family, he had a support group who could be there for him.

He had a life, he wasn't completely dependant on someone else as he probably was in Portland

That scene is hilarious Michael should have said the truth immediately when he came back. I understand he was feeling disappointed and probably a little like a failure, but those were his friends and as we see later, they understand.

oh, I really love that hilarious scene the next scene where he talks to Ted and Emmet about David is not that funny,obviously, and I like it despite the fact I think he should have told them about it sooner. those guys were really his support group,IMO.
