 Watched 1.08 last night. My, Brian sure was faced with the daunting task of dealing with Justin's parents this episode. Starting with Craig's not-too-subtle violent approach, and concluding with Jennifer's bold bombardment of parts of Justin's life onto his desk. To this day, though... I still like how Jennifer handled things over Craig. She went about it with an open mind and handled things rationally. Think Debbie was having a positive affect Jennifer in dealing with this new turn in hers and Justin's life. __________________

And for Justin to have stood up to his own father against him beating Brian, it makes you wonder how deep Brian's appreciation for Justin went after that. After so much of the abuse and belittling he endured in the past, here finally comes Justin to show how he's actually capable of not only being loved, but also protected and safe guarded. It's really something. So I really think that struck a cord with Brian. When he said, "It took a lot of guts for you to stand up to your father like that"...you can see a little admiration there. And when Justin followed that with the most concerned-sounding, "He was hurting you"...I think that really touched Brian's heart. __________________
