Here's all of the info on the play from the theater's web site:

https://www.berkeleyrep.org/season/1718/12033.asp

There are several dates where both parts of the play will be performed all in 1 day/night. Each part is about 3 1/2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. So both parts together would be about 7 hours total.

Wow! 7 hours! That's a long time - I didn't even know they did shows that long in theatre. That must be very tiring on the actors involved.

I agree. The actors need to have a lot of energy to be on stage for that length of time. Plus on certain dates after both parts are performed they also have a Q & A session afterward.

Wow! That is very good of them to do that after a whole day of performance.

That's really an intense play. He's going to need a break when it's done.

sure will be - and it would be great to see some pics of the performances or him in costume or something like that.

Mark - are you going to go to a show? A long one or short one?

The only way I would fly across country to California would be if I was already going to be going out there for a few days on business.

Otherwise if I can't take the train or drive to one of his plays, I don't go.

I think there should be a good write up seen as it seems a great play to watch, let alone taking the time and effort to perform for 7 hours

An interesting fact is that while Randy is going to be out in CA in Angels in America the same play will be on Broadway at the same time and it runs about the same length of time meaning weeks. Too bad he isn't in the 1 on Broadway. I'd be there in a heartbeat.

That's interesting I know plays are often on at the same time in different places but to have such a big play that is so long to be playing at the same time seems amazing

Does his new man live in SF did someone say? Is that why he would be in CA instead of NY? Maybe he didn't go for the NY one?
