Mark thank you so much for the first review of this run .. but OMB, was there really an actor called Norbert Butz playing the Emcee in 1999 ~ that is too good

Norbert Leo Butz is a highly acclaimed Broadway musical actor who was the original Fiyero in Wicked. He was playing the role when Randy played Boq. He was the second actor to play Ralph in Rent and is one of only nine actors to have won two Tony Awards -r Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Catch Me If you Can - for performances as a Lead Actor in a Musical.

His tour in Cabaret was earlier in his career.

I saw him in Wicked. He's very good.

Here is a clip from Wicked. The actor to his right is the original Boq, who Randy replaced for a 6 week summer run.
