I really love the pilot! I like the camera when Michael is saying: "Unless of course you’re Brian Kinney." Then the shot of Brian and the voice over: "Who gives a fcuk what you think! You’re lucky to have me!" [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Also Michaels line: "And that’s when it happened. When he came along." And all of the Brian/Justin scenes and the one on the roof.. that song fits perfectly! This episode is SO great!


You’re not a dork, you’re just not into drugs and that’s not such a bad thing. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Brian means with Special K the drug and not the cornflakes… and the disco-pharmacologist is his dealer… [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

basically, you can go on & quote every single scene of it! it was a very strong pilot. the next 2 or 3 episode were kinda "weak" compared to it.

I agree. It's the best pilot I've ever seen. Ok... I've not seen that many but it's the best one anyway. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

And I love the ending scene in 1x02. Brians speech and that look... you can tell already that Justin's not just a trick for him - but of course he wants him to be... and he thinks he's too old for him! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Shadowgirl- I totally see where you're coming from! My dad knows that I am addicted to Queer As Folk, but he has NO idea the level of nudity, sex scenes..I'm his little girl. Why the hell would I be watching gay sex? *lol* I seriously think if my Dad knew, he'd probably suspect me of being gay I think! He'd be that shocked! *lol*

I LOVED the pilot..I was a big UK QAF fan, and my friends bought me the vids for my birthday so already I had my suspicions...could it be as good? I definitely find the humour different, but there is so much more depth to the characters I think..plus the lead character, Brian is SO much sexier than the UK counterpart in my opinion..

I love the friendships, love how Debbie embarasses them all, especially Michael, LOVE Brian's complex character..*sighs* I am addicted..

I really enjoyed the pilot episode when I first saw it. The Brian/Michael scene on the roof really cemented my love for them. There was so much hope and promise back then that they would get together someday. There was also the Ted likes Michael thing, where did that go?

the Ted & Michael thing seemed to fizzle out after Brian confronted Ted about it at Michael's birthday party. it wasn't really brought up anymore after that. unless i'm forgetting something.

In 112, Brian kinda confronted Ted about, yes and I think Ted in a way did tell Michael that he loves him. But Ted's love is the kind of love that 'as long as he's happy, I'm happy' love...I think [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Which makes me think...why dont we discuss a new ep? It seems like we've gone through the pilot long enough. Long enough to conclude that we do love this ep v v v v much! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
