Yeah you can never understand totally what it is like to have something when you haven't had it but he certainly would have understood what it was like with all the medication and everything and he didn't need to hide things from him.

I like how you say almost - sometimes she didn't say the right thing either:

well.. she was right in parts, he probably was consistant heartbreak.. but he must have broken hers too and not just worried her that he was trouble, why else would she have taken him in

Debbie didn't have a filter sometimes - but she needed to be nice to Brian - she knew how hard his life was and what kind of upbringing he'd had I know she loved him in some way deep down but at times she wasn't nice to him either I think. Just my opinion
