I don't know if I like that quote or when Debbie talks to Brian like that - i think I'm a little protective of him

Maybe she needs to not treat Michael likes he a superhero or something all the time Just my opinion But thanks for the quote Denise - hope you don't think I'm giving you grief - it's all aimed at Debbie

I'm sorry, but I dislike that quote... right along with you Fiona! There's so many things wrong with what she said to Brian... as if he was the sole cause for Michael's stunted mental state as far as being perpetually childish goes. Wasn't it she who raised him?

Yep - she did - why does Brian owe Michael? They're friends yes and grown up together but isn't Michael his own man? He's supposed to be an adult and grown up - a job and friends and everything. She's the one who has to be in every aspect of his life and phones him like every day and carries on. HHHMMMM sometimes the way they treated Brian made me cranky cause then they would come and ask him for things as well when things went bad they straight away went to Brian.

Right. It's like they always needed a scapegoat on which to place all types of crap, and that was him. But the minute anyone needed help, he was always there.

Her son wasn't going in the way she wanted him to so just needed somebody to blame... that happened to Brian. She's was really berating him too. If she hadn't lashed out at him, he would not have had to carry on the way he did at Michael's 30th. Sure he could have gone about it better than humiliating Michael and Tracy, but Brian felt responsible or he was made to feel responsible, so he pushed Michael off the cliff.
