He makes that comment about "I can only imagine what kind of party he's throwing", so maybe not exactly, but he had a good suspicion.

I think if Brian truly knew, he would have stopped Justin from going. Or at least told him and then left it to him to decide.

I agree. I know Brian must have suspected something potentially negative about the Sap and the operation, but he probably didn't know the extent it went to. Or maybe he did and quietly feared for Justin.
